Hey Friday!
Boy, am I glad to see you. 🙂 In true Friday fashion, I’ve teamed up with Narci and Andrea to bring you FRIDAY FAVORITES! Just like every Friday, we invite you to join us, share your favorites, and hopefully find a new blog or two to add to your daily must-read list.
Here’s my mix of FAVORITES for today…
One of my FAVORITE places to shop {Nordstrom} reached out and asked me to share some Valentine’s Day gift giving ideas for the ladies in your life. Let me tell you, Nordstrom knows how to gift give. They make it crazy easy on the gifter. I sent several baby gifts via Nordstrom this past year and I can’t even tell you how EASY it was. They not only shipped it but they gift wrapped it for me as well. If you’re like me, I’d rather walk across hot coals BAREFOOT than go to the post office. Sign me up for some online gift giving! There’s such a wide range of price points available at Nordstrom too. I highly recommend you check out Nordstrom the next time you need to send a gift.
Maybe even a Valentine’s Day gift? And if that’s the case, I’ve got you covered. 🙂
This list is FULL of things I’d like to get personally for Valentine’s Day or they’re things I already own and love. I can vouch for them all!
The first gift I highly recommend is one of these Kate Spade initial necklaces. You don’t have to know your valentine’s size, just order an initial that means something to the both of you, and voila!
I wanted you guys to see it on, but a picture of pretty much my face super up close just wasn’t cool. No one wanted to start their day like that. Trust me. ha! So I threw up a heart to distract you from my big face.
Back to the necklace, it’s a really pretty gold, can be worn solo or layered, and is a great price point. I’d love for Tab to eventually get me one for each of my kiddos’ initials. {Or I’ll order them myself and have some fabulous anniversary, Valentine’s Day, birthday, and Christmas gifts this year.}
One way to speak my love language is through COMFY clothes and this Barefoot Dreams’ robe says JUST that. This is the kind of cozy I want to wrap up in all day. You might stop by my house at 1:00 in the afternoon and I’ll be wearing this. Just a warning. 🙂
To be honest, you can’t go wrong gifting any Barefoot Dream’s item to your valentine. I have the several items and I love them all…socks, poncho, blardigan, throw.
Another super cute option is this Natori robe. It’s the midi length for those of you who feel claustrophobic in a full length robe. It comes in a variety of colors and is crazy soft.
Maybe your valentine would like some new make-up? I own two of the Urban Decay palettes and rotate between each of them. The Naked palette is more browns and the Naked3 palette is more rose golds. I’ve owned them both for years and still use them all the time.
And I know I’ve shared this before but I was walking around the Nordstrom make-up counter and the sweet lady recommended a brighter lipstick. I told her I preferred neutrals, but she convinced me a bolder color would make my teeth look whiter. She was speaking my love language, so I bought this Bobbi Brown lipstick and wear it all the time! {My color is Rum Raisin.}
These mules are back and at such a great price point they won’t last long! They come in a variety of colors. Check out the cute blush for spring!
February has me daydreaming of a bit of color on my skin so self tanners are the way to my heart at the moment. I tried this Clarins Self Tanner several months ago for my face and I’m a big fan. This little bottle is going to last a long time and it gives my skin a pretty glow.
When I blogged about skin care back in the fall, someone recommended this Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser. And the e-mail was convincing, let me tell you. I bought it right after and have been using it since then. My face gets really dry in the winter so I have to be careful about exfoliating too much. This product-however has not dried my skin out at all this winter. It’s been great and leaves my skin super clean and moisturized.
Okay, girls…I’ve shared these sunglasses before but you know I have a hard time keeping up with things…like a PURSE, for instance. I stock up on these inexpensive sunglasses and they last me ALL SUMMER LONG!
Maybe you’re on the hunt for a Valentine’s Gift for a friend, mother, aunt, babysitter, OR maybe you want to send this post to your hubby, whatever the case may be I hope you found something you might like.

What are you doing for YOUR Valentine this year?
*************************
Back in April, I asked your opinion on which dress to wear to an upcoming wedding and you guys totally came through for me. {This is what I was gonna ask you about yesterday and just ran out of time trying on everything.} So, in true procrastinator style the Slaughter family has a wedding TONIGHT and I’d love for your help choosing my dress. 🙂
This wedding is at a local church with a big reception and dancing afterwards. The wedding is for a family friend who’s been babysitting our kiddos for years. We love this girl like our very own and are so excited for her and her fiancee!
I thought this time of year was a bit tricky with winter but I want to get something I’ll continue wearing to church and such. So keep that in mind, but let me know your thoughts! And a few of these would make CUTE Easter dresses-if you’re already on the hunt!
This Bell Sleeve Lace dress online was so pretty. It caught my eye in the blush, but I’ve heard too many brides talk about guests wearing a color too similar to white that I’m uber sensitive. haha! So, I grabbed it in the green/black combo. The blush would be gorgeous for an Easter dress though! However, a little too much of my “girls” were showing. I covered it up with my hair! ha! I wanted to still share the picture because some of you will be DARLING in this. It just showed a little too much of me. And these ruffle heels come in both black and a cute nude.
Dress #1
This Flounce Dress doesn’t have very good reviews online {yet-there aren’t many there} but I thought it was cute! The back is a little different which make it more dressy than a regular flounce dress.
Dress #2
Another Bell Sleeve Lace option with my signature color. I tend to gravitate to the coral. Always. I took a picture from the side, because I’d just unwrapped the package and from the front it looked like it was hanging funny. I think it’s just the wrinkle from being in the package though.
See what I mean? There’s a wrinkle on the left side. In real life I think it’ll come right out after being hung up. {Not like I have a lot of time though…hahaha!}
Dress #3
The Cece Bell Sleeve dress is a gorgeous color. It has cute bell sleeves with detailing down the arms as well.
Cute little details 🙂
Please let me know your thoughts! I loved all three of those options. They were all comfy, covered everything, and can be worn to church or showers as well. Also, I’ll make sure to self-tan myself before tonight.
Cast your vote for your FAVORITE, please!

I’m PUMPED about watching the Olympics the next couple weeks. Hope you guys are too!
Thanks for stopping by today, friends!
Happy Friday!
