We made it! This week seemed to drag a little bit for me, so I’m glad to see Friday’s smiling face. 🙂
I have some random favorites for you today…
I saw this graphic on Instagram and could NOT stop laughing! It was a FAVORITE! And all the stay-at-home moms said, “AMEN!”. Right? hahaha!
Bowen is in that awkward stage where he’s not taking a nap without a fight, but he usually doesn’t fall asleep until 2:00ish. And we pick the big kids up at 3:00. Ugh. So Bowen’s been getting quick 45 minute naps that usually look something like what’s pictured above. Having to wake him up is not my FAVORITE.
Oktoberfest on Saturday evening was so much fun! Festivals are our FAVORITE!
This kid wanted to ride the swings but was way too nervous to do it alone. Lucky for him, I’m a fan of all carnival rides (until mid-ride I start internally freaking out about the safety). This set of swings had several double seats. The double seats were all gone when it was our turn so I rode right behind him. He did great. However, when asked he told us that it was TERRIFYING. 🙂
Ebby Lee found a friend from school and rode beside her.
Bowen was all smiles for his turn.
I should have taken a picture of this ride, but there was a little car you got inside. It went into a tunnel and straight up. Then it came out of the top of the tunnel and went around and around until you got back down. It was hot and stinky in this little car, but we had fun!
This kid wasn’t scared of a thing. He’d go in, buckle himself, and ride like a champ.
Dinner break! Worst angle ever but proof we were all there. 🙂
These two took a little break in the petting zoo.
We got one quick turn at a carnival game and then we headed out!
I’m off to get ready for our weekend….Friday night lights and a gala are in our future!
Looks so fun! I loved all carnival rides as a kid, and now I'm panicked! Have to work on that before Disney! Thanks for hosting!
Looks like y'all had a blast! You and the kids are brave. I'd be all "thank you, but no thank you" to pretty much every ride. Ha!
Carnival rides freak me out. I'm not sure why…but I would need you to ride with me too :).
That first picture made me lol!! Too funny! 🙂 Have the best weekend, friend!! Xoxo
The nap struggle is real! I finally had my boys start riding the bus home because I felt guilty waking a sleeping kid everyday.
Random question – I love love that chair that Bowen is sleeping in and have been looking for one like it! Where did you get it? Thank you and happy Friday!
We are at the same stage with our almost 4-year old. She hates a nap, and only gets a few minutes before pick-up. #thestruggleisreal
Haha that stay at home pic is SO stinking true! I always start the day out with such high hopes to get the house clean by the end of the day but it NEVER happens!
We had to miss Oktoberfest and I was really bummed. Ok, so I can tell you this now that the carnival is over, but I accidentally came across a video of a carnival ride gone wrong. I have a fear of rides in general, especially ones that are put up temporarily, so now I'm scarred! And I feel ya on the nap…Beckham stopped napping at 3, like shortly after he turned 3!!! I'm hoping Maddox does not follow suit. Have a great weekend!
Looks like you have been having fun! I wish our city did a family friendly Oktoberfest!
Ooooh a gala? I can't wait to hear more! Y'all enjoy!
Looks like fun by the truckloads 🙂 I haven't been to a carnival since, goodness, since I was pregnant with Eve so that'd be 18 years ago. Now that it's out there in writing, I feel compelled to apologise, for some reason LOL you look like you had tons of fun!!
If you haven't yet, I do hope you'll come over and join in this week's Project Sister Act Link-Up 🙂
