Happy Friday, Friends!
I have a fun morning planned with the littles while the big kiddos are at school. I’m looking forward to hanging with them. Hope your Friday is looking good too!
In true Friday fashion, I’ve teamed up with Andrea and Narci to bring you my Friday Favorites. These are typically a “Hot, Random Mess” of my favorites from the week. Hope you enjoy!
Insta Story Tip:
I REALLY need to begin putting these Insta Story tips into practice! Right? I have an easy tip for you this week. If you don’t see the color you’d like to use in those circles at the bottom of your story, you can push a color and hold it. Then a little screen full of a ton of colors will pop up and you can choose a new one.
*UPDATED*-I was working on this post Wednesday and added some Insta Stories on Thursday morning. EEK! Did you see them? You can follow me at “slaughteren”.

The Greatest Showman:
My dates on Saturday afternoon for The Greatest Showman. I promised you I wouldn’t keep talking about the movie so I won’t say A THING but if you missed my post you can read all my thoughts about it here.

Favorite Product of the Week:
This sample came in my Play! By Sephora box back in November. I shared before that I was loving this little box of samples way more than my Birchbox because they’re all brands I’ve heard of and can pick up at Sephora. A lot of the Birchbox faves I received, had to be ordered.
This mask I put on my clean face typically before I take a bath and read. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off when I get out. My main skin concerns are fine lines and large pores and this is one way I tackle those pores. A few weeks ago, I put this mask on, got in my bubble bath, and was reading my book. I THOUGHT {that’s the key word} I’d closed the door but somehow Miss Britt made her way in my bathroom. She took one look at my charcoaled face and lost her mind. She was not a fan of her mama with a mask. I had to scream for Tab to come grab her. So maybe don’t wear this mask in front of your toddler. 😉

Book Review:
Okay, I started reading this book a week or two ago when Tab was out of town and could not put it down. Super suspenseful, it’s the first book in the series, and I’ve already ordered the remaining books {third book is still pre-order}. This says it’s a teen series, so there was nothing super over the top hard core in the storyline. But it did have bad language so I’m not sure who rated it for teens?
If thrillers are your thing, I highly recommend this one!

Costco Question:
Okay, Costco shopping, friends! I haven’t had a Costco membership since Bowen was a baby. The savings on diapers and formula and all the baby things were totally worth it, but when that stopped I couldn’t justify the drive. There isn’t a Coscto conveniently located to us and I let my membership run out. BUT…I just heard Costco delivers? Have you guys heard this? Has anyone used this service? I couldn’t see if there was a fee. It looked to me like if you sign up for two day delivery as long as you meet the minimum requirement there isn’t a fee? Is this correct? Costco shopping, Friends, please help us all out! You know how I feel about grocery pick-up. This could be a BIG GAME-CHANGER!

Day in the Life:
If you missed my Day in the Life post yesterday, you can read it here.

Decluttering:
I shared a while back about these books I was reading and how I was starting OPERATION DECLUTTERING THE MESS in the Slaughter house.
Some of you asked for progress pictures and let me tell you the past two weeks I’ve been too embarrassed to show you. You know how when you’re cleaning something out you ALWAYS make a bigger mess before it begins to look better? Well that’s been the boy room for a WEEK! I got a ton done yesterday and am hoping to have it fully finished this week, so I can show you a picture.

Hope you guys have the BEST weekend! XO
Costco does deliver!! I think it’s a $10 fee?? Totally worth it! But I also believe you have to live within a certain radius to the store.
Girl, that Costco tip is going to change our lives! 😉
We haven't had a Costco membership for YEARS either…..but that might be changing!!!! Can't wait to hear what everybody has to say!
So our youngest is terrified of anything on your face so one morning my husband was shaving before church, his face full of shaving cream, and in walks Lucy and completely freaks out. Seriously she sees shaving cream now and she runs the opposite way screaming. xoxo ERIN
Currently decluttering ALL the things in my house! But right now it just feels like a big ol hot mess because stuff is EVERYWHERE!! Ha!! Happy Friday!!
Yes to the Costco delivery…I believe it comes within 2 days and miiight have a $10 fee, but it is TOTALLY worth it! Great to get snacks for the kiddos to take to practices, etc. Also check out the Instacart app – you type in your zip code and it will show what stores deliver to you! Depending on your area, stores like Publix, Kroger, Whole Foods, etc will deliver your groceries!
I hope you have the best time with your littles today!!! Also, I need that book ASAP! Looks so good! 🙂 Happy Friday, friend!
I'm so curious about the delivery too! I know delivery is free with your first order, but am curious about the cost after that?? With only one Costco on the area, I'll do anything to avoid that place-ha! I'm sure you already know, but the McKinney Costco should be opening somewhat soon!!! Can't wait for that (we are in Prosper). 🙂
That’s the same reason I got rid of my Costco membership. But I believe we are getting one at Hardin and 380.
So many good things Erika! I love Instastories as you probably know so keep them coming 🙂 I've never heard of that Play box…I'll have to look into that…I like asking for those types of things for birthdays and mine's coming up.
I love a good suspenseful book. I need a vacation so I can go read. I just can't let my mind settle enough to read during this season of life, but I'm keeping this in my "need to read" list.
Going to read your DITL…didn't get to check blogs yesterday. Have a great weekend. Oh and if you're into decluttering and organizing, check out YouTube…much more motivational (in my opinion)…I'd always read all the books about that and never remember a thing 🙂 For me, half the battle is just doing it.
OH and Costco…haven't heard about that delivery, but we shop Costco very carefully/reluctantly, so probably not a good service for us. I did hear we're getting a Costco near us this year though…right? It's right by our church so if we go, we go after church.
I'm dying at Britt's reaction. Right now my mask that I use is white and my 3year old tells me I'm a ghost and makes me make ghost noises. He's hilarious!
There's a new costco going up on 380 and Hardin!! #praisehands In the meantime, guess we better try delivery!
Yes to Costco delivery! We get my daughter's formula delivered. They also have stuff online that they don't have in stores!
Thank you for hosting. I linked my Weight Watchers Veggie Soup, an Amish Pasta Salad and very Berry Pancakes for that weekend brunch. I hope you enjoy them! Have a happy week! #OverTheMoon #WWBlogHop #ThursdayFavoriteThings
That movie theater looks amazing. Super comfy chairs and trays so kiddos have a place to put their snacks without awkwardly trying to hold them on their lap and not spill….so cool! I don't know anything about Costco delivery since we have one close to where we live but if they do you should totally take advantage. We love Costco. They just have the best stuff! Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend!
Check out google.com/Express you don’t even have to have a Costco membership and free shipping over 35.00. Plus 20% off first time users. Got my order within 2 days.
Oh my gosh – I LOVE Costco!!! You can order almost everything online (nonperishable) and it ships in 2 days if ypu meet a $75 min, which is easy. We don't have the grocery delivery/pickup here (too rural) but you might. 🙂
I can not get over the photo of your movie theater; ours look nothing like that! Comfy seats and trays?! I'm so jealous!
You are the third or so blogger that has mentioned this movie though so I know I need to go see it. We just went to watch Paddington 2 today and it was adorable.
I have two almost teens and I have to admit that teen ratings on books seem to be a joke; three of the books I checked out to read with them this year talked about teens actively having sex, swearing galore, and just in general not being stories I'd want my boys reading.
from Japan ;Thank Thank you as always nice newsletter.

We have a Costco just for their fruit, veggies and cheese. That alone is worth the membership for me! We only have one here in Charleston SC and it is crazy crowded ALL THE TIME! I'm off to check out the delivery!
Costco?! Delivers?! I was just there on Wednesday. I wonder if this is a nationwide service or just in your area — if Ohio does it, I am in for life!
My stepdaughter did one of her face masks she got for Christmas the other day and our youngest boys (3.5 and almost 2) would not go near her with it on. It was funny at first but then unsettling to see them so afraid.
I will have to check out that book series. I've always enjoyed reading and have really gotten out of it the last several years but I've read 3 books already this year, which is HUGE for me, and I'm going to need all the recommendations I can get.
Hope you guys have a great weekend!
I can't stop laughing thinking about Britt and that face mask!!! Poor baby!! That'll be a story you'll tell her for the rest of her life. hahaha. She'll laugh some day. 😉
That Inspired Chick
I wish we had cinema seats like that in the UK! They look very luxurious!
