Friday Favorites

WAHOO, FRIDAY!

It’s good to see you.  🙂

I’m sharing some of my FAVORITES from the week along with my girls, Narci and Andrea.  We’d love for you to join us.  Simply grab our graphic, link up with us, and then add your blog to the link-up!

Here we go…

First up, our FAVORITE from the week was celebrating Britt’s GOTCHA DAY!  It’s so hard to believe it’s been just a year but this past Tuesday was one year since Britt was placed in our arms for the first time.  I had big plans of us having this special dinner and just a few days before I scratched that idea.  I decided Britt would rather play outside all evening than have a nice dinner out.  So that’s just what we did.  And I made these for dessert!  YUM!

I feel like this book is EVERYWHERE right now?  Everybody Always by Bob Goff.  Have you seen it?  Heard of it?  I just finished reading it this week and totally get all the hype now.  The author, Bob Goff, has one consistent theme throughout this book…if we want to look like Jesus, we should be loving EVERYBODY, ALWAYS.  He shares the most inspiring stories of seeing this play out in his life and the lives of others.  My very favorite part was toward the end of the book he shares a super detailed story about some witch doctors in Uganda….you guys, read to the end!  It’s so good!

Have you guys tried Shay’s Sloppy Joe Stuffed Spuds?  If not, you’re missing out!  I made these for my family this past week and they were a HUGE hit!  I used sweet potatoes for Tab and I to stuff and the kiddos all had regular potatoes.  I set out all the toppings {cheese, sour cream, bacon} and let them stuff them on their own.  {They always take a little more ownership in their meal if they make their plate, make their taco, stuff their potato, etc.}  I forgot to take a picture and trust me, ours didn’t look this delicious.  But, they tasted GREAT!  For an easy weeknight meal, give it a try!  One of our FAVORITES this week!

Earlier this week I shared my cutest two-year-old model in a variety of swimwear.  {If you’re in the market for some cute baby swimwear, look no further.}  I didn’t mention this suit, but it’s worth a mention for two reasons…1. Super cute!  2. And it has snaps so you don’t have to take the entire suit off to change a diaper!  I’m gonna say that again.  It SNAPS.  I don’t think in my nine years as a mom, I’ve ever experienced a one piece swim suit that snaps.  But, it’s GENIUS!

The Bachelor franchise is like a bad habit I cannot quit!  I’m looking forward to the new season!  Memorial Day night the new Bachelorette begins!  My girl, Sheaffer, will have ALL the recaps {and she’s hilarious}.  You won’t want to miss them!
