This Friday is bringing a mix of emotions…half-ready to get back into a routine and structure and half-sad to see this summer end. Our family had a great summer…some great adventures were had, we visited a ton of family, and we made some amazing memories. I should also add this is the first summer my kids understood what it meant to “sleep in”. They weren’t sleeping until 10:30 or anything, but 8:00 wake up calls were nice this summer!
First up, Paulie’s behavior on Big Brother has NOT been my favorite this week. I’m disappointed in him. He was becoming a quick favorite and this week he’s getting a little cocky. I’m thinking, “The Executives” might be disassembling pretty quickly.
A FAVORITE is cheering on Team USA!! The summer Olympics are definitely my FAVORITE to watch.
Another NOT favorite….that moment at UPS when I kept inserting my card. READ THE SIGN, Erika! The guy had to finally tell me to swipe. #imamess He looked at me with crazy eyes when I think grabbed my phone to take a picture. hahaha!
This is how we’re all feeling about that right now….
Lots of new FAVORITE memories were made earlier this week in San Antonio.
Apparently when you turn thirty-three things just don’t work like they used to. I went for a SHORT jog on the treadmill in new shoes and apparently those shoes were not right for my feet. I’d worked out in them before and they were great but running is a different game. My foot is STILL sore and it’s been over two weeks. (I’m sure it didn’t help that I walked around barefoot at a water park for almost three days straight either.) But the point is I’m a mess.
Ebby Lee and I are off today on a little shopping trip and I completely believe this is Tab’s viewpoint. hahaha!
Just like this blog, today’s post was a bit of a “hot, random mess”. 🙂
