Friday Favorites-August 30th, 2019 Edition

Hey There Three Day Weekend!
It’s nice to see you.

Today, I’m teaming up with Andrea and Narci to share FRIDAY FAVORITES!

First FAVORITE of the week…this Cauliflower Pizza Crust.  When asked what they’d like to eat for dinner all three of my big kiddos always respond, “Pizza”.  This past weekend we swam at a neighbor’s house on Friday night and had yummy pizza for dinner.  The next day we decided we’d stay in to watch the Cowboys’ preseason game.  When we discussed what we’d have to eat…their response, “Pizza!”.  So we compromised on a Make-Your-Own-Pizza Night.  I brought pre-made personal size crusts for them and went out on a whim to try this cauliflower pizza crust for me.  And it was a WIN!  Living here in Texas, we love a little spice with our food and this crust delivered!  The only negative is the crust didn’t get super hard-like I couldn’t have picked up a slice but then again I did add a lot of toppings.  I found this at my local grocery store, Market Street.  The brand does have a couple other flavors-Italian and Red Pepper are the two I saw.

FAVORITE #2…getting to spend my days with this little sidekick before she starts preschool next week.  She is the sweetest thing!  She’s started saying, “I love you, mama”.  Totally unprompted…just when she’s thinking about it.  And it’s the sweetest thing ever.  Tab worked from home part of one day this week and he might have gotten a little offended she doesn’t offer that up for him.

Another FAVORITE from this week…one morning I was reading a little chapter in Only Love Today book.  The author was saying during her first middle school meeting the principal told the parents the students biggest worry every year wasn’t the four minutes between classes, the location of the next class, or being tardy…their biggest questions is how are they getting home.  Sometimes it feels like these big kiddos of mine need me less and less {except the car-I’m a personal taxi service} but this reminded me that’s not the case.

Did you see all my Walt Disney World posts this week?  Just last week thanks to Mix and Match Travel I headed to Walt Disney World to experience all the fall magic it has to offer.  I, along with thirty-four other travel agents, was spoiled rotten with all the perks we got to enjoy.  {My FAVORITE!}If you missed any post, you should read them…

Ebby Lee has been asking for several weeks to decorate our house for fall.   It’s her FAVORITE!  This weekend we have a few days with NOTHING on the calendar so we have big plans to get our house looking all kinds of fall.  In preparation, I’ve been on the hunt for some cute Halloween pajamas and found some CUTE options!  You might need these for you or the kiddos in your house…

Thanks for stopping by today!  Since Monday is Labor Day, I’ll be taking the day off but will see you Tuesday!

XO

I tried making my own zucchini pizza crust one time and that was my one complaint then too; I could not pick up a whole slice of pizza like normal. I did like the taste though and I bet I'd enjoy cauliflower crust too.

Do you all have Aldi in Texas? It’s a branch of TJ’s is what I’m told. I wasn’t a shopper there until someone told me to get their guacamole and well I fell in love. They have THE best fresh cauliflower pizza, just pop in the oven. Like so good!

I love cauliflower pizza crust! Costco makes a great frozen veggie pizza made with cauli crust and we like it a lot. I am so jealous about the fall decorating.. I am itching to do it, 😀

I love the Cauliflower crusts! Did you use a vented pizza pan? I ordered mine from Amazon, and that helps to get it crispy. I flip it a couple of times, and then leave mine in a little longer than the 10 minutes because I like mine crispy. The brand is great and the flatbreads they have are really good too.

My friend made a cauliflower crust pizza and I'm rotten ever since – it was so good! I guess I should get the recipe from her. and how sweet that you got some impromptu "i love yous". Those are the best!

The trick to cauliflower crust is a vented pan and letting it bake a little before putting the toppings on. Just what worked for me!
