Friday Favorites-8.27.21

It’s FRIDAY!!

And we have a fun weekend planned full of sports.  This mama is HERE for it!
😄😄😄😄😄

Andrea and I are here with our FRIDAY FAVORITES!

My FAVORITES today are all about this girly, my five-year-old who’s about to start preschool next week.  Britt is used to being entertained by one of her many siblings and typically there’s someone here to play with.  Since the big three are all in school, it’s way different when she’s the only one here at home.  I’m thinking many of you might be in the same situation…having just one younger kid at home or {if you’re like me} having just one younger kid at home just one day a week once preschool begins. Either way it can still be challenging. I’m often torn between the mom guilt of making our “just us” time memorable and getting my work done.  I’d already jotted down in my calendar to share our FAVORITE ways to stay busy when it’s just the two of us so when Walmart reached out to see if I’d like share some Walmart end of summer activities with you, I jumped at the chance.  Walmart makes ordering any supplies you might need so easy.

These are just a few of our FAVORITE ways to stay busy…with at home-crafts!  A few of our FAVORITES are…Play-Doh with Peppa Pig, Play-Doh Kitchen, Robot Window Art, Unicorn Painting, Slime Kit, Spirograph Jr., Wooden Flower Garden, and Frozen Giant Coloring Pages.

With Britt at home and me trying to work we often find ourselves at the dining room table, me on my computer and Britt with a craft of some kind in front of her.
One day last week we invited a neighborhood friend over to craft with her while I was busy working.  These girls made the cutest wooden flower gardens with their little kits.  {And I was super impressed with all the pens, flowers, and the bag included in the kits.}  These would make great birthday gifts!

They got messy with slime.

{Please note it was laundry day in our house and the laundry was overflowing to the back staircase.  haha!}

Then they both painted unicorns and they’d have said this was their FAVORITE activity.

These two stayed busy, busy moving from one craft to another.  With the outside temperatures so hot, this is the perfect way to keep your younger kids busy inside while you’re getting work done as well.

A few other ways Britt and I like to stay busy:
*Bubbles
*Read Books {a FAVORITE in our house}
*Play Kitchen {her FAVORITE thing is “diner“}
*Go for a Walk
*Swim
*Get Crafty-I put random items out on the table and she loves creating with glue sticks, scissors, paper, markers, etc.

To celebrate our last big day before she heads to preschool we’re off to visit Peppa Pig World today!  We’re pumped!

Huge thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post!! And to shop all the items featured today…

Have a great weekend, friends!
XO
