Happy Friday, Friends!
This weekend officially kicks off April birthday week for our people so I’m gearing up for all of that! If you’re like me as the party planner of the family, even if my kids aren’t having big parties I still try to do whatever I can to make the day special. So all of you know, it’s a lot! ha! That’s what I’m in the middle of working on right at this moment.
I’m taking a quick pause to bring you some of my FAVES from the week! As always, Andrea and I are here hosting a little link-up and we’d love for you to join us!
Before I get started with FAVORITES, I’ve gotta give a big BIRTHDAY shout outs to one of my FAVORITE people….Sheaffer!!! {I used this pic because Sheaffer and I laughed and laughed that we were doing our own thing in this pic and we promised to use it forever and ever}.
To know Sheaffer is to absolutely LOVE her! I remember telling Shay how self-deprecating and hilarious I thought she was after I hung out with Sheaffer the first time. She kept me in stitches laughing and that happens to be the way to my heart.
Sheaffer is one of the most caring people I know. And this girl deserves a day for everyone to love on her! Happy, Happy Birthday Sheaffer! We love you! XO

I had some FAVORITE families travel on Disney Cruises over Spring Break and their pics were so cute! Here’s one family…
And here’s another FAVORITE local, McKinney family. I’m gonna take a pause for a second to tell you about the mom in this pic above, Ali. We can be discussing basketball, the Bachelor, or the latest fashion trends and she’s one of those girls who has the gift to bring it back to Jesus. She can always bring it back to Jesus. It’s always in the most genuine way, but my goodness-what a gift she has! There are a few of those women I can name in my life and she’s one of them. We were at a birthday party several years ago with over twenty women in attendance and we started chatting. Before I knew it, we were both in tears because Ali had steered us to Him and minutes later we were both crying. FAVORITE family and FAVORITE kind of friend.

One of you girls were so kind to recommend this vest and leash for dog walking and I’ve gotta tell you they’re new FAVORITES and THANK YOU!! We’re working on our puppy manners in this house and walks are a bit atrocious but these help so very much. You guys might all be professionals but if you’re a newbie like me, I HIGHLY recommend for teaching them the correct behavior on walks. I found ours from Chewy but really any vest and short leash would work. Now one special kid is assigned to walk Champ when they get home from school! WAHOOO!!!

This isn’t one of my weekly podcasts I listen to but someone recommended it or it popped up for me. I don’t even remember how I found it, but let’s talk about Misheard Lyrics. Why is it SO FUNNY when someone has been singing the wrong lyrics to a song?! But it is. This podcast episode made me chuckle while I worked out this week. Listeners went in misheard lyrics and some were too funny!

Tab and I have an upcoming work trip for him that we’re turning into a little work/play getaway and I’ve been on the hunt for some warm weather things. I shared a few on Wednesday, {you can see them all here} and am waiting for more to arrive. I’m gonna give you a peek at what I’m packing next week! This spring top is a new FAVORITE though!

Okay, ladies. Trying on swimsuits is NOT a FAVORITE! BUT, I think I found some that are really cute! I ordered a few suits at the end of the season last year from Boden and liked them. This year I decided to try several more and you guys-I think they’re really cute! I’m in that stage where I haven’t officially hung up my bikinis yet BUT I don’t want them to look anything like my teenage daughters. Know what I mean? I’ll never ever share a pic of me in a swim suit on my blog BUT check these out….
The color combination is EVERYTHING on this green/white stripe bikini! The colors are so vibrant and I love how the top covers everything well.
This halter type top comes in many different colors/patters and was so flattering on!
And these foldover swim bottoms are my FAVORITE. They’re not too low and aren’t too tight in the back.
This color combination is another great one! I liked this set a LOT! And I already have navy bottoms I can mix/match or pair with the green/white strip as well.
I’m telling you, friends-don’t sit on those Boden suits! They have so many options! The one pieces come in tall, they have so many bright, fun colors and combinations. Also, they’re all sized by 2, 4, 6, etc. I think sizing that way helps suits fit a little better than just a small, medium, large, etc.
I’m just passing it on because if you {like me} often HATE the idea of swim suit shopping, then you need to hear this! Boden has some REALLY great options!
