Happy Friday, Friends!
I’ve gotta be honest, the allergy situation in Texas is doing me dirty this week. I’m usually not an allergy sufferer but whatever is flying around in the air has taken me down! It’s been a coughing, runny nose, itchy eyes, sore throat week for me but I hope your week is going great!
As always, I’ve teamed up withAndrea to bring you some of my FAVORITES from the week. Today is a little Spring Break recap.
When we made our Spring Break plans we knew Bowen had a baseball tournament the first weekend of Spring Break so after some discussions we decided I’d stay in town with Bowen while Tab and the others drove to Rosemary Beach to get Spring Break started. They arrived on Saturday and the plan was for Bowen and I to fly out late Sunday night. Well, sometimes American Airlines has different plans that what we make for ourselves. ha!
Sidenote, Bowen and I had RUSHED to Tab’s office, parked his truck, Ubered over to the airport, gate moved, waited, waited, waited and then late that evening….flight cancelled!
This was us Ubering back to Tab’s office to get his truck sending our family a, “Well, we didn’t make it on” text. That was our Sunday, meanwhile the rest of my crew….
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! The most gorgeous day!
Crazy story…American Airlines automatically booked us on a flight TUESDAY evening! Yes, 48 hours later which I was annoyed about but there are bigger things in life than this. Right? I was trying my best to have a good attitude but went to sleep on Sunday with the plan that Tab had called and was trying to get us bumped to an earlier flight. I didn’t sleep good all night so at 8:47 a.m. when Tab called me I was awake but still laying in bed. Our dialogue…
Tab-“Erika, get dressed and get to the airport. I just booked you on a 10:25 a.m. flight to Tallahassee. I’ll drive the two hours to get you.” {Sidenote, we live about 45 minutes from the airport.}
Me-“WHAT?! I’m still laying in bed and Bowen’s asleep.”
Tab-“You can make it! Just hurry!”
{Another sidenote, Bowen and I had no luggage from the night before. They’d kept it.}
I wake him up, wash my face, brush my teeth, change clothes and we leave.
I’ve save you lots of details here but we walked up to the gate as they were boarding group 8 of 9! Can you even believe it?!
We made it to Tallahassee! Tab and Britt drove to get us and as we were driving by Panama City, I saw our bags had just arrived IN Panama City {WHAT are the odds?!}. We drove by the airport AND OUR BAGS WERE ON THE CAROUSEL WAITING!! Can you even believe it?! MIRACLE!!
We made it just in time to get ready for dinner at George’s. Tuesday was a chilly day so we shopped, hit up the gym, enjoyed some down time, etc.
On Wednesday….
We hit up the beach!
We had dinner at Surfing Deer which is always a favorite spot!
For some reason, these are the only three who were interested in any of my pics. 😉
On Thursday, Ebby Lee and I walked/ran while the boys hit up the gym.
Then we watched while they threw.
There’s always something fun at Rosemary Beach. On this evening, they were painting faces.
We popped into Cowgirl Kitchen for lunch and spotted one of the Montana Boys. I’m not super familiar with TikTok but this guy dated Kristin Cavalleri. Do you remember that? Anyway, we were in a corner booth staring at his group eating lunch. haha!
They were kind and agreed to a pic.
Friday was absolutely stunning! My phone never does a beach picture justice.
The PERFECT kind of day.
Our last night was Old Florida Fish House which is always the cutest setting.
Proof that we all were there! 🙂 {It was kind of chilly weather the ENTIRE time so I was always adding any layer I could find.}
