Friday Favorites-3.25.22

Hey There, Friday! It’s good to see you. 🙂 Hope you’ve had a great week! Tab was out of town until Wednesday so this mama is happy to have all her people under one roof for the next few days.

Andrea and I are here talking about some of our Friday FAVORITES!

First up, this workout top, I’ve had it for years but wore it on an Insta Story this week where many of you asked me some questions about it. This color, Highlight Yellow, is on sale right now but it also comes in many other options. I ordered the “8”. If you want it even more oversized, then I’d size up more.

I also got questions about this FAVORITE spring top-doesn’t it just scream, “CINCO DE MAYO”? I’m wearing the medium in this one.

This is an old Amazon sweater, but it worked well on a super chilly day in March. My sneakers are still available and fit TTS.

Let’s talk family dinner FAVORITES from the week-We’re HUGE fans of Shay’s Cheesy Ranch Tacos {I know I mentioned them just last week} so when she shared this Cheesy Ranch Taco Rice I knew it had to happen STAT! My people LOVED this one!

We also had this Slow Cooker Chicken Tetrazzini. I substituted the fettuccine noodles for whole wheat spaghetti noodles and my people raved {except Ebby Lee-she’s not a pasta fan}. This is very similar to the Italian Chicken Slow Cooker recipe I’ve made before but different enough to add it to the line-up! Since we’re about to have to pack up our pantry I also threw in a can of peas because healthy {hahaha!} and because I’m trying to not have to pack up too much food.

Check out my FAVORITE six-year-old’s new glasses! We got the news a couple weeks ago that Britty needs glasses and they finally arrived. Aren’t they cute? The purple pair is my FAVORITE!

Thanks to our insurance we scored two pairs and she’s been alternating between the two. But this girl has been such a great sport. Since November we’ve added hearing aids and glasses to her everyday look and she’s handled it with such a positive attitude. My mama heart couldn’t be prouder!

Aren’t they CUTE?!

I’m slowly packing up our downstairs and found this toy. Nixon used to be dog-obsessed so when he was little this was a FAVORITE toy. I’ve kept it tucked away and periodically will pull it out. All of my kids have played with it and loved it. I saw it and thought-I should tell my blog friends about this toy. When I checked it comes in-dogs, fairies, space, dinosaurs, and on and on. It’d make a GREAT gift or Easter basket addition.

Okay, I’m gonna say this twelve different times…the name is terrible. It’s terrible. It’s terrible. It’s terrible. I completely agree-BUT I’ve been working on a sunless tanner review and I’m having a hard time moving on to try tanner #2 because I really like this one so much. Here in Texas, it’s slowly approaching sunless tanner season. Just in case you’re on the hunt for a new tanner I will have a big review post in the future but in the mean time this option with a terrible name is a new FAVORITE! It’s under $10! And I use this mitt to apply it. I’ve gotten multiple compliments from friends about the color.

A not-so-FAVORITE moment was publishing my blog post yesterday for 4:30 PM instead of 4:30 AM! Let’s add it to the list of blog fails this week. 😉 I shared a big round-up of all the swimsuits, cover-ups, and other things we wore in Mexico.

I’ve been attempting to check in more on Instagram and some of you have left the nicest messages. Thank you so much for those! I really appreciate them!

That’s all I’ve got for you today! Happy FRIDAY Favorites!

Oh perfect! I just added turkey tetrazzini to my menu yesterday and wondered if I could ever remember where I got the recipe I used some 3 odd years ago when I made it last. Now I don’t have to hunt. We prefer using whole grain pasta too.

I couldn’t figure out how to private message you, and wanted to let you know that Britt’s glasses are cute, but I’m not sure if they fit her correctly. It’s kinda hard to tell from the pics, but it doesn’t look like the nose pads fully touch her nose at the correct angle, the frames are resting on her cheeks (they shouldn’t), and her eyes are in the upper 1/3 of the lenses when they should be centered.

You should do some research about “asian fit” / “low nose bridge” glasses. This is a good explanation: She will likely get a MUCH better fit with this style. But it will be hard to find in kids sizes — most glasses shops only carry 1-2 pairs of low nose bridge fits for adults, and 0 for kids, so you will probably need to special order them.

Hi! Thanks so much for your comment! You’re so observant! And I appreciate it! Yes, those glasses are probably in our future but there are a lot of what-ifs happening first so we decided to go this route first and see how it all works out. I appreciate your help! Thank you!

Thanks, Traci! Okay-I use all over my body and I put it on in the morning. I think it stays for several days. Sometimes I reapply before exfoliating. Other times I let it all fade before reapplying.
