Friday Favorites

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  I hope you’re all wearing green today.  ðŸ˜‰

I’m back today with some Friday Favorites and have teamed up with my girls, Narci and Andrea, to bring it to you.  ðŸ˜‰

I have a hot random mess of favorites for you…

First up, you guys on Monday, I teamed up with my real-life friends and fellow bloggers to do a blardigan giveaway for 10 women in the trenches battling cancer.  The five of us had agreed to gift 10 blardigans and after reading our posts several of YOU offered to donate blardigans as well.  Instead of gifting 10 women, we’ll be gifting 20 women with blardigans today all in Manda’s honor.  I was overwhelmed by the stories of amazing women who are getting suited up everyday to fight this horrible disease.  I’m lifting them all up in prayer and I hope you’ll join me.

Here are the names of the 20 winners.  Each blardigan will be sent directly to a brave fighter battling cancer right now.  If you won, please email Shay at mixandmatchmama@yahoo.com with the following information:  your choice of a blardigan or baby blardigan, your color choice, your size choice, and the physical address you’d like the blardigan sent to.  We will get your blardigan out to you as soon as possible.

The winners are on the left and the person they nominated on the right:
Angela Tuchscherer- Susan
Owl Mom- Tracy Brown
Jodi Guntle- Rosie
Celeste Clark- Alison D.
Jill Thompson- Michelle B.
Jennifer McDonald- Jill W.
Caroline- Wendy Crawford
Mollie- her best friend Molly
Julianne-friend/former co-worker
Julie- Lisa Fowler
Ursula Evertt- Brenda
Heather Hernandez- Shannon
Denise Domingue- Sequoia
Katie- Elise Bethel
Christine Wilken- Robin
Emily- her older sister Holly
Jen Weber- Becky
Nikki Glenn-Emily
Meredith Hollowell- L.A.
Laura Cox- Karen
Congratulations to all the winners.  Please know I’ve never wanted every single entry to win a giveaway more than I have with this one.  I wish every one could receive a blardigan.  But, I have no doubt many of us are now praying for these women.  Praying for healing over each and every one.

This article is written by one of my FAVORITE friends, Carrie.  Carrie and I were roommates in college.  We became fast friends and she’s one of those friends I could call at any moment and we’d pick up right where we left off.  Carrie and her husband, Kurt, are amazing examples of God’s faithfulness.  (The article is all different sizes.  So sorry about that.)  It’s so good!

Another FAVORITE this week was my girl, Sheaffer’s Bachelor Recap.  She has a true gift and it’s something I look forward to every Wednesday morning.

We don’t download many movies for our kiddos I-Pads.  But if we’re going on a trip I usually let them download a new one.  We hadn’t gotten any new movies since last summer for Mexico so we downloaded Sing and Trolls for their I-Pads and BEST DECISION EVER!  In the airport, on the plane, at night in our room…they all wanted to watch their new movies.  I just bought both, put them on the “cloud” and then downloaded them on all I-Pads.  FAVORITE Mom move this week!  ðŸ˜‰

CHECK THIS OUT!!  SHAY has another cookbook, Mix and Match Mama Kids in the Kitchen, coming out on April 1st.  You can pre-order yours now.  The pictures in this cookbook are gorgeous!  My kiddos have all been looking through and asking to help me meal plan.  YES!!  And the food looks delicious and it’s all kid-friendly!  Win-win-win-win!

I made Shay’s Spicy Baked Chicken Tacos this week.  I don’t know how I’d missed those.  They have chicken, spinach, cheese, jalapenos.  SO good!  I was secretly smiling throughout the entire dinner.  Know why??  Because my kiddos were eating spinach and they didn’t even care!  If you haven’t tried those, add it to your meal plan for next week and thank me later.  ðŸ˜‰

Let me introduce you to another friend, Lauren.  Lauren and my cousin, Whitney, were besties growing up.  So I’ve known Lauren for years through Whitney.  Lauren has recently started a blog and just posted the FUNNIEST video.  Any mom can relate.  Go check that video out!

I’m off on a first grade field trip.  Wish me luck!  ðŸ™‚

Have a great weekend, girls!  XO

Hi Erika- you had mentioned a few weeks ago that this month's Workin It Wednesday linkup was moved to this upcoming Monday the 20th. Is that still happening or is it moving to a different date?

It's amazing how something as simple as a new movie can grab the kids' attention for days. Q is currently on a serious Frozen obsession, much to her brothers' dislike. Ha!

I kept seeing your comment about the Antler chandelier. You should go to Paul Michael in Canton and see some of the adorable antler decor they have! I bought an antler candle holder for my rustic glam bedroom. 🙂

Thank You for sharing that article, it was so needed for me today. When we are facing mountains we have to move being reminded of our greatest inspiration and support group-our fellow brothers and sisters-takes away the loneliness and anxiety. Thank You Erika and God Bless You:)
