Happy Friday, Friends!
Just like that….we’re on February’s very last day. 2026 is flying.
I hope you’ve all had a great week! Today is TALENT SHOW DAY at Britt’s elementary school so we’ve had dress rehearsals, outfits ordered, and many practices in preparation. Tonight we have a pre-game pizza meal, pictures, and then we can’t wait to watch!
I’m here with Andrea to share some FAVORITES from our week….

First FAVORITE of the week, this sweet JUNIOR of mine had her cheer banquet last Friday night. A photographer in attendance posted these pics and I couldn’t love this more. I’m sure she was laughing at something a friend at her table said.

A BIG tradition for our cheer team is at the end of this banquet every year, the seniors crown the juniors. Kind of like passing on the leadership so to speak. And JUST like that, my mama heart experienced a very first of all those senior things. You guys better watch out! I’ll be a MESS!

The juniors and seniors at this year’s banquet. Can you tell the theme was garden party?! These girls looked absolutely beautiful!

In a shocking turn of events {totally kidding} I was terrible at picture taking so I found these from the photographer, we’ve been so very thankful for this cheer program over the last three years. Her FAVORITE school days have been spent with these girls.

Saturday afternoon {CAN YOU BELIEVE this is already here?!} Britt had her first softball game of the spring season! Everyone was able to make it out to come cheer her on! Her Crushers’ team started off well with a big WIN!

We love our #2 BIG!

On Sunday afternoon she had her team softball practice and then she worked with a senior softball player for a little more extra practice. I was bundled up watching from a bench and had a moment of pure thankfulness that she found something she enjoys so much. Softball is her FAVORITE thing right now.

Now I LOVE my kids fiercely but this made me laugh. 3/4 of them are old enough to laugh at this meme as well. 🙂

Since I’ve consolidated my posts for the week, I’m sharing my Book Review a little differently. This month I read/listened to some GOOD ones!

Fun for the Whole Family-In this novel, four siblings who’ve lost their way/had a fallen out all meet up in a random location to hear some news from their youngest sister. None of them know what she’s wanting to share but they all go. Did it seem a bit far-fetched that after not talking to your siblings in a long time one would call, ask you to fly to a random location this weekend, and you’d all drop what you were doing to be there at a few days notice? YES! But, other than that part of it, I really enjoyed it. This was my favorite family saga/drama to date. It was very “Parenthood” to me. If you like a family drama, read this one!!

Meet the Newmans-This novel involved a family of four, the Newmans, who star in their own sitcom that’s all about their “real life”. Except it’s not. The sitcom portrays a VERY different family than what you see behind closed doors. The dad/husband of the family gets sick and the other three family members have to figure out how to keep the show going on.
I’d give this one a three star rating. It was my least favorite book I read this month. It just felt long/drawn out in the middle.

Stillwater Girls-If you’re into thriller books, READ THIS ONE!! My sister-in-law texted me to read and I’m SO GLAD I LISTENED! It’s pretty short, is written from two different perspectives that you can’t figure out how are even related until the END, keeps you turning the page for ANSWERS, and well, I thought it was really good. I’m new to this author and liked it so much I listened on Audible to…

The Silent Woman-It was my first thriller to listen to on Audible and whew!! GREAT CHOICE!! Again, this author is really good at those thriller/suspenseful reads. If Freida McFadden is your fam, try Minka Kent ASAP!

And now I’m off to watch these cuties in the Talent Show this evening! Happy Friday!
