Do you know what today is?
I officially went from Bette Midler to Winnifred Sanderson over night. It’s supposed to be kind of yucky and cooler {fingers crossed} here in McKinney, Texas, so Britt and I are staying in to decorate for fall and get this place looking Halloween-ready.
It also happens to be FRIDAY! Andrea and I are here with some FAVORITES from our week! I’ve got a short but sweet list of five FAVES for you!
First FAVORITE from the week is a family that’s down with some last minute change of plans. I had a big pork roast cooking in my slow cooker with the goal that it’d be ready to eat after the middle school football game on Tuesday night. When we got home, I asked Tab to start cutting it up while I got the rest of dinner ready. I noticed him cutting into the top and it was still pink! URG! My first thought was something was wrong with my slow cooker because it looked still very raw on the top {part that wasn’t in the liquid}, but then we realized the slow cooker had gone one entire eight hour cycle on low, then kicked itself into “warm” mode so the roast had stopped cooking. Not exactly raw, but still way too rare to eat. At 8:30 p.m., we found ourselves trying to hit up somewhere for a quick dinner. We landed at our local grocery store’s food court where one kid had sushi, one had two lunchables, one had macaroni and cheese with fruit, and the other was stoked about gravy with chicken strips. A sweet reminder I should be a little more like my kids…more go-with-the-flow. 🙂
The second FAVORITE is my front porch…we’re working on making it October-ready! Just a few more pumpkins and the wreaths are missing!
Did you listen to The Bestie Breakdown’s first book club episode? If not, you should check it out! We’ve got another book club coming on November 2nd. You should read along with us this time! It was a FAVORITE episode for me in September. Our next book is The Girls in the Stilt House! You should grab it now!
A FAVORITE story from the week…Britt and I have met some of my girlfriends a couple times for lunch since the big kids are back in school. This week a package with some items for Ebby Lee came in the mail and this sweater crossbody went with a sweater I ordered. Ebby Lee wasn’t interested in the crossbody but Britt quickly threw it on and said, “I look like Mrs. Sheaffer“. hahaha! How cute is that?! Apparently, Sheaffer is telling her to…even at such a young age. 🙂
My FAVORITE show just ended for the season. Big Brother crowned the latest winner, Xavier, and really to be honest-no one had any chance sitting next to him. I think Kyland beside him might have given him a run for his money but I’m not really sure he could have stolen the win. Xavier played the game so well.
Hope you have the best weekend!

Britt's declaration should have been a Friday Favorite for me too! That girl is too cute!!!!! LOVE her.
That pic of you guys eating on Tuesday night is seriously adorable! You were making lemonade out of lemons 😉 !
So many great favorites!!! Have the best weekend!

Xavier was my choice all season with Tiffany a close second.
