HAPPY FRIDAY!! Hope you’ve had a good week! It’s FRIDAY FAVORITES with Andrea!
I’ve got a quick Mom story you can probably relate to before I dive into my list. Yesterday morning as we’re trying to get out the door Bowen realizes he can’t find his backpack. He searches the entire house, closets, the car, garage, etc. It’s no where to be found. We need to leave like ASAP as he’s looking, but I do a quick scan of everything myself and no backpack. In my panicked state, I start thinking-Did I do something with his backpack? Did I put it in the back of a dark closet? Did I accidentally throw it in the trash can?
Do you follow @latewithkate? She JUST posted about having crazy irrational thoughts when she gets pulled over. So immediately as I’m thinking I’ve possibly thrown Bowen’s backpack away {WHAT?} I remembered her IG and began to laugh.
Spoiler alert-we still haven’t found the backpack, but if you find a UA camo backpack please let me know!
And you should totally be following her-she’s a FAVORITE account. Good, wholesome, hilarious content!
Okay, now on the rest of my list…

Last Friday evening I took the kids to Olive Garden for dinner and then to watch Sing 2. Britt touted it as the BEST MEAL EVER! And everyone left with smiles! Win-win! And we got home before 9, which is a Mom FAVORITE! {My sweater is here and I sized up-I’m not a fan of a snug-fitting sweater.}

This past weekend was so nice here in North Texas. So nice, in fact that I got to watch a football game where I happened to be the five second counter so it would be fair. 😉 Being outside on a gorgeous day is a FAVORITE!

While I’d like to tell you there’s never any fighting amongst siblings in my house, if I told you that I’d be lying! One day earlier this week I’d had enough of the arguments and I went to Pinterest to do a little research on some great lessons about sibling issues. I found this blog post about seven lessons we can learn from Cain and Abel. We’ve been reading through them this week and discussing. The conversations we’ve had have been so good. If you feel like you have your own Cain and Abel living with you sometimes, check out this post! A FAVORITE family time this week, for sure!

A new FAVORITE top….a girlfriend had this on when I saw her this week. She didn’t size up and it had a really different vibe-it looked more dressy. I like it because it’s super comfy but the ruffles give it a little more of an elevated look.

I’ve got another FAVORITE Instagram account…are you following @simplyonpurpose? I’m not sure who recommended her but I love following along. Her entire account is all about positive parenting. I’m all about receiving reminders as I scroll Instagram with ways to encourage my kids. She recently had a no-yelling challenge and her content was so good.

We have a volleyball tournament this weekend and THAT IS IT! Ebby Lee and Bowen are counting down the days until Sunday when their teams go head and head. We’ll for sure be watching that! I’m also hoping for a little closet clean out time in there as well. Wish me luck! I’m gonna need it. 🙂 Hope you have a great weekend!
I need some positive parenting in my life! Following her now!!! Thanks for the rec!
She’s so good!
Those memes are all so funny! Thanks for sharing and for being real about life and parenting!

Shay posted A picture on her website today of the four of you going out to dinner. I loved your entire outfit. Can you add links?
It must be the week for losing things. My daughter misplaced her glasses. I had thoughts too about the garbage
I LOVE Olive Garden, and I probably haven’t eaten there in 15 years. One summer when I was home from college and living with my parents, they were having their entire house renovated. We didn’t have a kitchen the entire summer, and we went to Olive Garden at least twice a week for their salad. I’m seriously going to have to get to Olive Garden soon. I could eat bowls and bowls of that salad.
Yes, I love her “Try Again” It actually works!
Have a super weekend Erika!
Lol, note to self- no camo backpacks. They blend in! 🤣 For my kids it’s the water bottles. 4 kids, there’s always at least one missing.
2 new IG accounts to follow & ways to deal with my kids arguing (which btw has been making me crazy! 🤯🤪) is a huge way to end this week! Thank you! ❤️
