Even if the weather is in the mid-90’s. 🙂
We started our weekend off a bit early with a birthday dinner at Benihana’s for M.
Everyone was excited. Can you tell?
Nixon said repeatedly, “I like this guy”, referring to our chef. That boy is a mess!
And when the chef flipped the egg into his hat, we were all in shock.
G knows how to throw a great party!
Friday, while the big kids were busy at school the little guy took the best nap. I hate having to wake him up to go to carpool, but it’s life.
Several of you asked about my bedding…it’s from Pottery Barn. The duvet is here and blue quilt is here.
Saturday, Nixon had an early tee-ball game, so we were up and at ’em early!! My college roomie, Erin, came over to hang with us for the day and we hit up Oktoberfest in downtown McKinney. I know I say it all the time, but I LOVE our town! This event was just fun and definitely growing!! We bumped into the Shull family as we made our way around the square.
After a quick pit stop at the candy store, this was how they chose to pose for a picture. hahaha!! Totally sums this up. Can you tell which one is my jokester? 🙂 He started dying laughing right after I took the picture.
We got some treats and then waited patiently for the next heat of dog races to begin.
My crew ready and waiting
Ebby Lee talked Bowen into barrel racing with her. Nix wanted no part…he was hot!
Ebby Lee saw this picture on my phone and gasped, “He was beating me?!”. hahaha! Yes, your two-year-old brother was beating you. Oops!
She pulled out the win and Bowen didn’t seem to mind. #ornotice
The petting zoo was up next and EVERY time we step foot inside a petting zoo it takes me back to this day….
When baby Ebby Lee headed to the farm for the first time. A big group of friends headed to a local farm to feed and pet the animals. I’ll never forget holding Ebby Lee up to pet a horse and she was so terrified her entire body started shaking. I should add that the horse was on the other side of the fence. Let me just tell you that any one who caught a glimpse was laughing so hard. So when we go to a petting zoo and she actually pets an animal, I’m CRAZY proud of her. She’s come a LONG way. 🙂
Bowen was not scared to get in the mix. Nixon was pretty much standing up against the fence. ha!
I think they were trying to figure out if that llama was asleep, so they got down on eye level.
I’m telling you…Oktoberfest was bigger and better this year! One end had a lot of kid rides and games. Can you spot my girl up there on the bridge?
Nixon is not my carnival rider, so I let him play a game.
Then these two and Miss Erin took a little go at the ferris wheel.
Then the fun continued later that night when Marla, Ebby Lee, and I went to watch Matilda the Musical. Ebby Lee wasn’t tall enough to stick her head through so I was trying to hold her and fit my head in the hole too. Not too shabby! ha!
Ebby Lee was stoked about this (and I was too!).
Such a fun girl’s date!
We had awesome seats and the show was amazing!! I just wish they would have started earlier. It got over at 10:45 and I was struggling to keep my eyes open. #whynotstartat6 If you have a chance to see this show, I highly recommend it!!
Sunday morning these crazies and I were right on time for church.
Hope you had a great weekend as well!!
