Hey There! How was your weekend?!
Mine was filled with a completely free Saturday which hasn’t happened since early 2024! I filled it by cleaning out my closet, getting the Christmas decor down out of the attic, and putting up the living room Christmas tree. I know. I know. It’s early BUT the day I pull out the Christmas decorations is determined by my calendar. This weekend seemed like the one most available so I started. You gotta do, what you gotta do. Right?
The fall months are BUSY around here so I rarely get a lot of reading accomplished but I have a few books I need to share with you!
The One-WHOA!! I didn’t really know what I was getting into with this one. Suspenseful? YES! Creepy? YES! Dark? YES! This one involves a DNA test that genetically matches you with THE ONE person out there who’s supposed to be your one true love. The book follows five different people who’ve been matched with “the one” and some find true love while others don’t.
It was OUT THERE, crazy and everything I enjoy in a psychological thriller. If they’re your jam, give this one a read!
All the Colors of the Dark-This novel took me just a minute. A friend described it as written in a “poetry style” of writing and I actually couldn’t have described it better myself. That took me a minute to get adjusted to.
In this one, we experience Patch as a young boy saving a girl and then we follow him throughout his life. I can’t really give too much a way but it’s a thriller I’m so glad I read.
Upon Waking-This is a 60 day devotional I’ve shared about many times, but decided it needed it’s own little space here. Many devotionals can be a little “fluffy” but this one manages to get to the meaty stuff in just a couple pages EVERY DAY. It’d make a great stocking stuffer or Christmas gift this season!
The one show I wanted EVERY EPISODE of this month was Nobody Wants This. It’s on Netflix and is the rom com we’ve all been wanting. Super super cute! Highly recommend!
