Ebby Lee’s 10th Birthday Celebration

Ebby Lee talked all year long about wanting to have a girl’s night in downtown McKinnney…go to fun dinner, walk around the square, and stay at The Grand Hotel.  Due to all the spring sports, we were finally able {almost a month later} to make that night happen!

I made appointments for Ebby Lee and Kensington to get their hair done on the square and due to over bookings those were cancelled so instead we started our afternoon at Blo in Watters Creek.

Someone thought they were BIG STUFF hanging with the big girls.  🙂

Sisters!!

These two have such a sweet friendship.

Showing off their “before”.

They might be little but they had strong opinions about what they were wanting for their hair.

When Kensington was finished, she was so sweet to Britt and fixed her hair.  Notice Britt was LOVING it!

And the “afters”.

One more “after”.  🙂

We headed to downtown McKinney and checked into our room at The Grand Hotel for the night.  I’ve lived here for 13 years but have never checked out the rooms.  Our room overlooked the square and was huge!

It had a little seating area where the girls watched a movie before bed.

When I called to book our room there were only king beds available so these two and I snuggled up and made it work…wasn’t a big deal at all!

We popped into Walls of Clay and they each chose something to paint.

Ebby Lee chose a llama mug.

And Kensington worked hard on a cactus.

Then we popped in our room to get changed for dinner at Rick’s Chophouse.  Shay met us for a fun girls-only dinner.

The crew at Rick’s could not have been nicer about making Ebby Lee feel so special.  The food was delicious as usual!

One quick selfie before showers.

We showered, got ready for bed, and had the best night chilling out.  The girls watched a movie and I finished a book…my favorite kind of night.
My cactus pajamas are here.
So much fun with these two!

We woke up the next morning, dressed in their volleyball gear, and had breakfast at Spoon’s before getting our Saturday full of all the sports started.

While I love the princess dress up birthdays we used to have, these kinds of celebrations might be my favorite!  Just a fun night out celebrating our TEN-YEAR-OLD!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!
XO

How fun!!! It's so fun as they get older that they want to do more outings instead of parties! SO cute and fun!
