Hey, Hey!
Hope you guys had a great Easter weekend. I thought I’d give you a little peek into ours…
Bowen had an early Saturday morning tee-ball game and let me tell you it must be that we’re so close to Oklahoma but the winds were sweeping right through the plains and over the ballfield!! It was crazy windy, which made it crazy cool outside. But those little ballplayers didn’t seem to notice.
Aren’t they cute?
During the game, these girlies did what they could to stay warm. And by that I mean they borrowed any jackets they could. 🙂
This is the “Britt” version of “hands on your hips”. hahaha!
After tee-ball we had a few errands to run and then Bowen was outvoted on the lunch spot.
Ebby Lee and I chose La Madeleine’s, which is very French bistro-ish. They have the BEST chicken caesar sandwich ever and if you pair it with the tomato basil pasta salad, well it’s like one of the best days of your life. When my food arrived, I was living my best life while…
Someone else was mad he got outvoted. He decided to sit at his own table away from us, which half upset me and half reminded me to choose my battles and this didn’t seem like such a big deal. After finishing off his pizza, he joined us (because he wanted more-hahaha!) and it was all forgotten.
These two were having the BEST time.
Tab had an early spring football practice at OU. Nixon joined him, so they were gone until later in the afternoon. That explains why Bowen was outvoted on the lunch spot. 😉
Later that afternoon, we made it to our church’s Easter Egg-Stravaganza! It’s one of my favorite church events…bounce houses, petting zoo, face painting, and a LOT of eggs. We waited in that long face painting line so Bowen could get his arm painted. He was stoked!
Can you spot Bowen in the middle of that crowd?
This girl wasn’t feeling the crowd and I’ve got one word for you, “WIND”.
Several girls from Ebby Lee’s grade made it to the event so she had the best time. (I forgot to ask one mama for permission so I covered one up-just in case.)
Tab and Nixon met us at the Egg-Stravaganza about halfway through. And afterward, one of us was so sad it was over. Can you guess? 😉
Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny dropped off some goodies. Only Bowen was really buying it. My older two don’t believe in the Easter Bunny but they’d both argue with you for hours about Santa being real. Yeah, I know. They haven’t made the correlation.
After hunting eggs, eating way too much candy for breakfast, and taking it slow…we got ready for church.
Can you say self-tanner problems? EEK!!! I used the St. Tropez spray tanner and I know you’re supposed to use a mitt, but I didn’t have one. Needless to say, I don’t recommend the tanner. Not because of my hand (that’s my own fault) but it didn’t give my legs much color.
Tab and his girls 🙂
While we were in church, Miss Britt was playing peek-a-boo with one of my girlfriends through the glass. My friend, Lori, texted me a couple pictures and said-she refused to smile for the camera, but they’d been playing.
Some friends, The Alexanders, (also neighbors) met us for church and then lunch. Isn’t this crew cute?
M and G came too!
Do you have any guesses on how many times these two messed up that group picture? hahaha!

Meanwhile, someone else had their picture game face ON!
Be still my heart.
We should have taken a picture PRE-lunch because I’m in major need of lipstick and a brush after tacos, chips, and guacamole. But, we had a great time with family and friends and I hope you did too!
Happy Easter, Friends!
XO
