My friend, Olivia, did a “Day in the Life” post hour-by-hour recently. I loved her post and wanted to do it for myself. I love reading those “Day in the Life” posts, but I have such a hard time remembering to document my day. I did the best I could! I must tell you that we’re living in our new house, but it’s a mess! Like I have hours to spend unpacking, but I don’t want this to be the summer we shut down to move so it’s happening as I fit it in. Needless to say, you might see a television in a master bathroom or REALLY hideous curtains that need to go. All those things will be moved and taken down-eventually. 🙂
6:00 a.m.-My alarm went off. I grabbed some coffee (please note-the thick layer of dust on the Keurig. I didn’t realize it was this bad until I posted the picture!!! The floors were resanded and restained and there is dust EVERYWHERE!!), had my quiet time, and caught up on blogs.
7:00 a.m.-The carpet guys were coming, so this room had to be completely cleaned out.
I left blinds and the water for Tab. 🙂
8:00 a.m.-I got everyone ready for the day, started the dishwasher and the laundry.
9:00 a.m.-Ebby Lee, Bowen, and I dropped off these three cute boys at basketball camp.
I stayed for an extra second to watch. They were so cute!
10:00 a.m.-My personal shopper, Marla, had told me about some cute chairs at our local HomeGoods. We went to check them out and bought them for our dining room! EEK!
11:00 a.m.-I went by Marla’s to drop off a couple things and she asked if the kids could stay! My car was empty.
12:00 p.m.-Don’t pay attention to the mess! I picked up the boys, dropped one off, and grabbed these cuties some lunch.
1:00 p.m.-I forgot a picture while we were out there, but the boys swam while I read a book.
2:00 p.m.-Smith and Nixon were playing in the playroom.
3:00 p.m.-Nixon and Smith moved the party to Nixon’s room. (During this time-the floor guy stopped by so I talk to him, the cabinet guy calls me back and we set up a game plan, and I’m trying to unpack.)
4:00 p.m.-I sat down (still in my swimsuit and towel-ridiculous) to blog and check e-mail.
4:30 p.m.-New carpet is down and I love it!
5:00 p.m.-Getting ready for LADIES’ NIGHT!! And I’m a little excited. Can you tell?
6:00 p.m.-Ready and waiting for my chauffeur.
6:00 p.m.-Chauffeur arrived and we were off to dinner to meet our girls.
Then I forgot to document anything after that. ha! I got back from dinner, helped Tab bathe the kiddos, watched a bit of television, and was off to bed.
Hope you have a fabulous day!
