If that picture doesn’t make you smile on a Monday, I don’t think anything will. 🙂
It’s no secret the second Bowen and Ashby Shull met they became fast friends. The same has been true when it comes to Bowen’s relationship with Madeley. If you remember one of the first names she began saying was, “Bobo” for “Bowen”. Partly because she’s a big Bowen fan and partly because she learned if she screams his name he’ll give her a little more personal space. I can’t blame her one bit. To say it mildly, Bowen is a little Madeley-obsessed. If you’ve seen a picture of Madeley then you’ve probably had the same thoughts Bowen has had. He “just wants to squeeze her cheeks” because “she’s just so cute”. Those are DIRECT quotes from four-year-old Bowen. He’s had to learn a tough lesson in self-control over the last few months. We definitely aren’t there yet-he’s a work in progress, but it must be noted he’s showing Madeley ALL THE LOVE out of the goodness of his heart. He genuinely loves that girl.
A few months ago, (I’m sure after telling Bowen to get back) Shay and I talked about what a blog post this would make. I’ve been saving some pictures for this day.
A little progression…getting close to her, kissing her, and touching her cheek. Luckily, Madeley was focused on that game!
The three amigos 🙂
They were dancing their little hearts out at the valentine dance.
He has no idea what personal space is when it comes to this girl. He’s told me before he “just wants to smell her cheek”.
One of our first lunch dates…a fun little friendship was brewing.
I’m pretty sure in the pictures above he decided to share his Gatorade and that was the way to her heart.
READY, SET, GO!
He “just wanted to touch her cheek”.
He loves this girl so much. And I think it’s cute how he views her as so little. To him, she’s a baby and he’s such a big boy. 🙂
I think (for the most part) the feeling is totally mutual.
It’s safe to say Bowen isn’t the only Slaughter boy with a little Madeley obsession. 🙂
And we make sure we spread out all the love. This girl is on the receiving end too.
What do you think? Is Bowen mildly obsessed or what?! ha! Trust me-I’m a grown woman who has to practice all the self-control when I’m around Madeley (and her cheeks) as well. Can we really blame him?!
XO
