All About the Love

Our Valentine festivities began on Thursday and ended last night.  We managed to eat chocolate, pass out valentines, and hang out with those we love most all weekend long.

Our Thursday started with this sweet girl wearing a heart dress to school.

We finished our valentines and everyone took them to school on Thursday.  I had a MAJOR panic moment of, “what kind of valentines do kindergarteners take to school?”.  My friend, Olivia, came through and whipped these up for me.  I found bath bombs for the big kiddos to tie onto their valentines.  I picked up socks for Bowen to pass out to his friends.  They were perfect!

Nixon enjoyed his party on Thursday afternoon AND he enjoyed the conversation hearts.  ðŸ™‚

We’ve LOVED having my mom here!  We soaked in every little moment with her.

We went to the mall with friends on Friday.  Fun little valentine lunch!

We hit up Ebby Lee’s valentine party that afternoon.

Somebody BINGO’ed!!!

Friday night was our first ever valentine dance at Ebby Lee’s elementary school!  She was PUMPED!  They’d been practicing certain dances for the last couple weeks in fitness.  Homegirl was ready to get her groove on!

Super blurry….but check out that SMILE!

Another blurry one, but check out my girl’s moves.  ðŸ™‚

These kiddos were a little taken aback…loud music, dim lighting, and tons of people.  All the kiddos but Ashby were a little taken aback…loud music, dim lighting, and tons of people!  ðŸ™‚  Ashby was in her element!
Mother/Son dance…he’s not acting like he enjoyed it, but he did!  hahaha!  We MIGHT have lost Ebby Lee for a couple minutes.  Don’t worry…it was just a couple minutes.  There were SO many people and with the lights off she couldn’t see us.  We found her quickly!

Saturday morning…we all headed to the Heard Museum.  It’s a Nature Center with trails, animals, and this happened to be the last weekend for a Dinosaur Live exhibit.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous!  It was the perfect day!

Bowen wasn’t a big fan of the dinosaurs.  They moved a little and made noises.  Needless to say, he always found a grown-up when he saw a dinosaur.  ðŸ™‚

Nothing says, “Happy Valentine’s Day” like dinosaurs, right?

The weather was SO nice!!  We walked along the little trail and every so often there’d be a new dinosaur.

Valentine’s Day with the grandparents and T-Rex

Girl’s Table
Later that night, we went over to M and G’s for a fancy schmancy dinner.  Marla decorated the dining room and the kitchen.  Ebby Lee requested a fancy dinner and M delivered!  She had little goodies at each place setting.  It was fabulous!

This was the boy’s table

After dinner we enjoyed fire on the patio.  The boys were mesmerized!

Sunday morning before church…these cuties posed for me.

Last night my valentine and I headed to dinner at 5:00, Kroger for groceries, and then home by 7:00.  The PERFECT ending to our weekend!

Hope your weekend was fabulous too!

Carter only kind of wanted to go to the sock hop at his school, so I said….what about if we take the neighbor with us and go get snow cones instead, and he was sold! Seeing y'all have so much fun at yours makes me wish we would have gone to ours!

Have you seen Walmart's photo valentines? They come in a set of three on a page for cut apart. You do it through the photo dept. and can do one hour photo. They are so cute! We try to theme them and attach something kids will enjoy, but the pictures are always a hit!
