5 Photos

This is ALL ABOUT ME week over on the blog.  🙂  All week long I’ll be sharing random things about myself so if you’re new here, please come back daily to learn a little more.

Today, I’m sharing FIVE photos that help describe me…

I’m a wife to Tab and mom to Ebby Lee (8), Nixon (7), Bowen (4), and Britt (1).

As a woman in 2017, we’re all wearing lots of hats.  Whether you work full-time outside the home, part-time from home, or stay-at-home taking care of the kiddos, there are lots of things us moms/wives are responsible for.  It’s so easy for me to get boggled down with all the laundry, all the practices, all the games, etc.  I love the line in this song…”In the middle of my little mess, I forget how big I’m blessed.” (This is the Stuff by Francesca Battistelli)  Being a mom and wife is my favorite job ever, but it’s a tough one.  I try my best to live everyday being thankful for what I have inside my four walls.

We added this sweet girl, Britt Bradford, to our family this summer through the blessing of adoption.  To say this sweet thing has changed all of our hearts would be the biggest understatement.  All five of us are completely smitten.  God knew we needed her even more than she needed us.  We can’t imagine a day without her in it.  I know adoption is so scary, it’s full of “what ifs”, just the thoughts alone can be overwhelming, but let me tell you-we’re so glad we didn’t miss this.

Momming (I made that a verb) is hard, but let me tell you with a tribe like the one I have pictured above it’s so much easier.  Love my girlfriends so very much and am so thankful to get to walk alongside them during this journey.  Most of my family lives far away so getting to have these friends near (who are more like sisters) makes it a little sweeter.

This one is a picture of a picture so ignore the quality.  🙂  This guy is my ride or die.  He’s my best friend and what a blast it is to get to do life with him.  I wish I could back and tell those young, twenty-somethings how much fun they will have in the future.

In this little space, you’ll find me here sharing a random assortment of things from mom life to faith to fashion.  I like to talk about it all.  Hope you’ll join us the rest of the week where I share a little more.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  XO

Looking forward to this week! Coming from a 20 something who recently moved out, I can tell you that us kids mainly just appreciate our mom being there…it's not about how well you cook or how much advice you give. It's all about being present and pointing your children towards the Lord. 🙂

Dateline is also my favorite. However I sometimes can't stay up late enough on Friday to watch so it's my guilty pleasure on Saturday night! Before 48 hours and my taped version of 20/20. I want to find the 10 year ago archive shows before I was watching!
