So I’m answering!!
Today I’m addressing a variety of questions I’ve been asked via the blog, Instagram, or e-mail. It’s a random assortment, ladies.
Here we go…
*Will you share the recipe for your chicken burrito bowls??
Yes! I useShay’s recipe and sometimes throw in a little extra of whatever I have on hand. Last week I threw in a can of black beans and some frozen corn. I make rice right before we’re ready to eat. Then I cut up avocado, have pico, cheese, salsa, and sour cream to add as toppings. We just put the rice on the bottom, add chicken, and then each top with our faves.
*Where did you get the couch/chair and rug in your living room?
I got the furniture from a local furniture store, Weir’s. There are five different locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They’re a family-owned business and if you’re local, I definitely recommend checking them out! The rug came from Nebraska Furniture Mart.
*This shirt yesterday linked to a pair of jeans.
Sorry!! It’s cute AND on sale!!
*What’s your recipe for bacon wrapped chicken bites?
This recipe is crazy easy!! I buy a package (or two or three-for my family) of chicken tenderloins, turkey bacon, and toothpicks. I cut the tenderloins in half or thirds (depending on how big they are). I cut the bacon into halves or thirds as well. Then wrap a bacon piece around a small piece of chicken and secure it with a toothpick. I bake them for about 30 minutes or until they’re cooked. I’m a lover of any condiment so we dip them in whatever is your fave…my favorite happens to be a sweet chili sauce. My kiddos prefer ketchup. 🙂
*How did you find your friends?
This is a frequently asked question. You guys are SO right!! I have some amazing friends and am one lucky girl! I do NOT take the ladies in my life for granted! I met most of my close girl friends at church. When Tab and I joined our church about ten years ago, we set out to find a Bible Fellowship Group that was right for us. We visited a couple before finding the place where we belonged. I did a blog post a while back about making a new city home. I addressed a little of this in that post. I recently did this post about friendship. That post contains my best tips for making great friends.
*What stage of life did you make most of your friends? After marriage/babies or before?
I would say most of my close friendships were made after marriage and before babies. The majority of my girl friends seemed to have kids right around the same time, so when babies came they kind of came for all of us.
*Where’s your necklace from?
This is my exact necklace from Accessory Concierge.
*When you go on all day outings, does Bowen nap? How do you handle this?
Bowen will be three in less than a month and he still naps everyday. But with that being said, as the third child he naps…in the car, in a bed, or wherever he can sneak it in. 🙂 When Ebby Lee was born I was always home during her nap time. But I only had one child so I could work everything around her little nap schedule. For Bowen it’s different. If we have a family outing (like the fair) planned for the day, we just let Bowen go with the flow. On this particular day, he fell asleep in the car on the way to the fair (around noonish). We drove home around 8:00 p.m. and he fell asleep in the car again.
If you have a question, please e-mail (alittlebitofeverything83@yahoo.com) it to me or leave a comment and I’ll make sure to include it in the next, “You Asked” post. 🙂 Thank you, girls!!
