You Asked Part 2…

So I’m answering (again)!

You can see Part 1 here.

*What type of hardwood floors do you have?

When we moved into this house, the bottom floor had hardwoods in some rooms but not all.  We had all the carpet taken up and we replaced it with matching hardwood floors (except in the bedrooms).  The existing hardwoods were the smaller pieces of wood so we went it.  We did have all the floors sanded and restained to a shade lighter than “coffee stain”.  I can’t remember if there was a stain that color or if our floor guys just knew I liked that color but wanted a bit lighter?  I love the way they turned out.

*What Rodan and Fields’ products do you and Shay use?

Shay and I both use the Redefine products.  These products are designed to defend against and reduce the visible signs of aging for noticeably firmer, smoother, flawless-looking skin.

Diane’s results MIGHT be my favorite.

The Redefine regimen includes a Daily Cleansing Mask, Pore Minimizing Toner, a Triple Defense Treatment, and an Overnight Restorative Cream.  For the rest of August, any new Preferred Customer on my team will receive a $25 gift card to Nordstrom.  ðŸ™‚  E-mail me at alittlebitofeverything83@yahoo.com to learn more.  (I’ll be returning e-mails Wednesday and Thursday-we’re out of town right now for a little last minute getaway before school begins.)

*Where did you find Ebby Lee’s Shopkins’ press-on nails?

Wal-Mart-they were in the section for birthday decorations/party favors.

*What’s your workout routine?

I must say that I try to do my best in the working out department, but some weeks are great and others aren’t.  I try overall to just be healthy.  Go for family walks, take a bike ride, etc.  My usual workout routine is go to classes at the gym two days a week.  Then usually two other days I do some other type of workout….workout on my own at the gym, do a video at home, do a Pinterest workout.  I try to change it up.  The main thing is to just get moving.  Right?

*What do your typical meals look like?

I’m the WORST breakfast maker ever.  I can get up early like a champ, but if I have to make a real breakfast-BLAH-I have a bad attitude.  This is my new school year resolution by the way.  ðŸ™‚  So maybe this will change in a couple weeks, but for now my meals look a bit like this…

Breakfast:  Protein Bar (because I’m lazy at breakfast making, but I’ll keep you posted)

Lunch:  A salad from Chick-Fil-A, sushi from the grocery store (for real), or a wrap from the gym cafe are my usual go-to pick ups.  If I’m at home, I’ll eat leftovers or grab a sandwich.

Snack:  Between 1-2 every afternoon, I look forward to my afternoon cup of coffee.

If I’m STARVING before dinner, I might have banana and peanut butter, beef jerky, or a yogurt.

Dinner:  Some type of meal I make for the family, usually with at least one veggie-if not two.

With all that said, if my mom is in town and makes my favorite cheesy hashbrowns, you might find me eating them for a snack at 10:00 a.m. or 2:30 p.m..  I can make no promises on that.  hahaha!  I’m not good at choosing the best food-if junky food is available so I try not to have too much of that available.  I’m also a big believer in moderation.  Have a piece of cake or nachos, but just have a little.

*Who do you want to win Big Brother?

Right this moment, I’m still #teamjames.  But…I’m kind of digging Paul and Paulie.  Paul is REALLY growing on me.  Every time he has an interview-I think he’s pretty funny.

*Do you have any money management tips?
Money isn’t something I talk about very often because I feel like it’s so personal.  There are tons of resources available online though.  My friend, Olivia, has some amazing posts about finances.  For us, its pretty simple, we simply spend less than we make.  After giving, saving and living you should have some left over. I am not a financial guru-it’s just totally how we do things and someone asked, so I’m answering. 🙂

*How’s the new front door coming along?
Our new front door is actually being installed this week, so I’ll be sure to share pictures soon.

*How do you have such a good attitude about Tab traveling?  How do you do it?  Any tips?
It took time for me to figure out what worked best when he was out of town.  I try to plan lots of things for the kiddos and I to do when he’s out of town.  Just because he’s gone doesn’t mean we should be stuck inside doing nothing.  Right?  So we press on-to the pumpkin patch, the movies, a local festival, or whatever it may be.  I try to make it special and fun for my kids.  During football season, if something needs repaired and I have no clue-I just hire someone to come take care of it.  I do that because when Tab is home the last thing any of us want is him upstairs fixing the leaky sink instead of hanging out with us.  I will say Tab and I discuss this all the time.  We are probably on the extreme side of communicators so we’re always chatting.  I’d say keep yourself busy.  Find something you enjoy and do it.  But definitely discuss and constantly reevaluate to see if it’s something that works for your family.

I shared more about Tab’s football journey here.

If you have a question, please let me know and I’ll do my best to include it in the next Q and A post.  ðŸ™‚  Thank you!!  XOXO
