What’s Up Wednesday-11.24.21

I’m linking up today with Sheaffer and Shay for What’s Up Wednesday!  I’m currently chilling with my parents in Missouri for Thanksgiving Break.  They live out in the country where my kids love roaming when we visit.  I hope you’re enjoying your Wednesday as well!

What We’re Eating This Week…

Some of my favorites!!  Do you guys have favorites you eat when you visit your mom’s house?  Our family favorites when we visit…pinwheels {I’ll try to get the recipe for you this week-they’re turkey, cream cheese/ranch mixture, cheese, green onion all in a tortilla}, Oreo chocolate balls {again, I’ll try to get the recipe}, and my kids love mashed potatoes so my mom usually makes something with mashed potatoes while we visit.  Plus a delish Thanksgiving meal!

What We’ve Been Up To…

We’ve been enjoying all the fall activities!

Britt celebrated her sixth birthday with a fun party on the farm complete with petting zoo, hay ride, and pony rides.

I loaded up with some girlfriends and took a little girl’s getaway to Charleston, South Carolina.  It just so happened that Tab’s one weekend off this fall happened to be when I was gone so he held down all the sports’ forts for the boys. 

Bowen and I tagged along to Tab’s football game in Seattle this past weekend as his birthday trip.

What I’m Dreading…

Hmmmm….returning home to all the laundry.  We left Texas in the midst of unpacking, laundry and repacking so we have lots to do when we return.

What I’m Working On…

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!  When Bowen and I were in Seattle, he mentioned some things he’d like for Christmas.  I was sneakily looking them up online and many were already sold out.  I’m trying to get lots of gifts knocked off my list early!  If you have kids my age and are looking for ideas, I’m sharing them soon!

What I’m Excited About…

Next week’s episode of The Bestie Breakdown is one of my FAVORITES!  It was fun to prepare for, fun to record, and I hope you’ll think it’s fun to listen to.  Festive and will get us all in the holiday spirit!  You can listen to all the other episodes right here.

CHRISTMAS MUSIC IS HAPPENING!

What I’m Wearing…

I saw this last year and started doing it myself-instead of wearing a button up sweater, “cardigan-style”, button it up and wear it like a sweater.  It’s nice because you get two looks…sweater and cardigan with just this one top.  I tucked mine in the front but also wear it all out.  I got my boots last year and wear them all the time!

Recognize the boots again?  I bought this coat back during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this summer but it’s on sale again!  It’s very similar to the popular “Amazon coat”, but this one isn’t as long.  It’s more cropped.  I ordered my normal size and like it!

This top I sized down in and it’s on sale too!  As we browsed the shops in Charleston, I came home with this pair of boot cut jeans.

A little floral top {that I can’t find online}, jeans, and sneakers from last year {but these are similar}.

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

Bowen’s birthday is on Saturday so I told him he could choose the fun we have.  I think it’s gonna involve donuts, lunch out, and he’s got big plans to watch the OSU/OU game by the fire.  I can’t believe he’s almost NINE!
