Thoughts for Thursday

I’m changing it up a little bit today and sharing some “Thoughts for Thursday”.  I’ve been seeing people participate in this link-up and thought I’d give it a try.

Here are some random thoughts all about…
Fuller House

Raise your hand if you binge watched on Netflix this weekend and watched all the episodes??  ME!  ME!  ME!  Tab didn’t get home until late Saturday night and by that point the kids and I had watched them all.

*First of all, I loved Full House back in the 90’s and I overall I loved Fuller House.  It took me back.  Way back.  It was super nostalgic for me.  My friend, Lori, and her kids watched a few episodes with us on Friday night.  She MIGHT have heard me say, “I think I’m gonna cry”.  hahaha!  #keepinitreal

*If I hadn’t watched it back in the day, I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it near as much.  It’s cheesy.  I get it, but I still liked it.

*I thought the dynamics of a house full of girls with young boys was clever.

*I enjoyed seeing the older generation make guest appearances.

*The little jabs at Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen weren’t lost on me.  I thought they were funny!  And surely if they watched, they laughed too!

*I was the biggest Steve fan back in the day, but apparently I’m pro-Matt in 2016!  The little love triangle was fun to watch, but wasn’t there a LOT of kissing?!  Every two minutes someone new was locking lips!

*It wasn’t as family-friendly as I remember.  Or maybe I usually don’t watch with five and six-year-old eyes?  My kids have watched lots of the reruns with me and other than the occasional naughty word they’re appropriate.  Fuller House wasn’t as much for the young ones as Full House.

*These three were super cute and great together!

*And Uncle Jesse is still Uncle Jesse.  🙂

Overall, I was a big fan!!  #twothumbsup

Fuller House has been pretty cheesy for me thus far but alas I keep trucking! 😉 I have to say I love Max. He's so cute and funny! Potentially, my favorite new character. I hope it isn't as cheesy in the 2nd season! Have a great day!

I'm with you about it not being as family oriented as Full House!
I'm glad I watched it by myself before I let my 8 year old daughter join me!! however, most of it would have been over her heard, but the kissing goodness…it was like every few minutes!! lol

The jabs at Mary Kate and Ashley were not lost on me either! I hope they did get a few good laughs!!

I like your "thoughts for thursday"

I'm still trying to decide if I want to watch it or not!! I liked watching Full House back in the day, but it wasn't something that I loved–I'm more of a Friends person! Although Candace Cameron Bure is one of my favorite people, so I may just have to watch it for her!

My husband and I binge watched too, and loved it! I agree if you didn't watch it growing up you wouldn't appreciate it nearly as much! I actually think it's geared towards the generation who watched Full House, so I don't think it's made to be family friendly like Full House was!

You're right-I was wanting it to be as family friendly as Full House but that's a great point!

Being one that raised my kiddos watching Full House, go figure I don't have Netflix to be able to watch this. I loved Candace on Dancing With the Stars so she will always have my respect for doing that show. I'd love for you to link this to my Party at My Place linkup today (runs till Tuesday) due to the fact I have many readers who have been sharing about Full House these past few weeks. They'd enjoy this. http://Www.grammietime2.blogspot.com Came over from Thoughts for Thursday!

I am about 10 years older than you are so the Full House phenomena largely passed me by. But if you'd like to see what I WAS up to in the 90s, check out my blog as today I posted a TBT post. Let's just say my time would have been better served watching Full House–haha!

I watched all 13 episodes, and it was NOT family friendly! Too many sexual innuendos and big boobs. It was painfully cheesy but I pushed through.

I started watching without my husband and he made me rematch the first three episodes and we finished the whole thing over the weekend! I got very nostalgic watching too – It definitely wasn’t as “family friendly” as I remembered, ha! The Mary Kate and Ashley jabs were perfect in my opinion! I’m so glad there’s a season two!

I agree, that it is not as kid friendly as Full House, so I find myself kind of talking over some of the inappropriate stuff in hopes that they won't notice. Ha!

Ok so we are a HUGE full house family. The 6 of us will watch an episode before bed–it's our go to show. We have been counting the days to fuller house!! I have to say I have been SO SO disappointed. It isn't the least bit wholesome as full house was. There are so many inappropriate things (for little eyes and ears) that finally we quit watching as a family and just stick with our Full House reruns.

I LOVED Fuller House! It took be right back to after school snacks and TV! The first episode had me tearing up, as well as when Stephanie admitted that she couldn't have kids. I agree that it is TOTALLY cheesy but that's part of its charm right??

Huge Full House fan, but I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with all the inappropriate jokes, clothing, and innuendos. I think everyone loves the original so much because of its family friendliness and wholesome lessons. It's sad to me that they moved so far away from that like everything else has these days but I will most likely keep watching all of them because I loved Full House so much.

I'm only 6 episodes in, but I love it! I definitely think it was made for people of our generation that watched it when they were younger. I don't know if someone that was watching it without being a Full House fan would enjoy it as much. I totally cried when Uncle Jesse sang Forever on the first episode. I just couldn't help myself! Also, how does one go about aging (or NOT aging) like Aunt Becky?!

I loved it, too! I kept having to ask my husband and my kids "why am I the only one laughing!!" I'm thinking it was definitely intended to entertain those of us that watched it as kids and are now in our 30's(and 40's! shhhh). I loved all the little "secret" things that only we would understand! I'm so excited they signed on for a season 2! 🙂
