Today’s Show and Tell is what five dinner guests I’d invite to a dinner party. This was one of the most fun posts ever! I’m linking up with Andrea to share my dinner guests. I seriously have been thinking about what five guests I’d invite to a dinner party for months. I remember asking Tab a while back and his answers and mine were WAY different. 🙂
If I could truly invite anyone dead or alive, I would have chosen Jesus (hello?), Mary, Moses (I want to discuss lots of things with him…the burning bush and parting the sea just to name a few, Hannah (when I had my infertility issues, Hannah was my girl…I’d love to chat with her about all that), and probably Eve. Tab and I are doing a marriage bible study that focuses on different marriages throughout the bible. Our first lesson was on Adam and Eve and after that lesson I have lots of questions for her.
But…I guessed that my guests had to be alive. So instead, I went a little Hollywood with my dinner party.
Candace Cameron Bure:
I’ve loved Candace ever since her days on Full House. I love that she has such a strong faith in the middle of Hollywood. I’d love to hear all about that. She’ll be sure to bring light-hearted fun, lots of great stories from her days on Full House, and a little bit of Jesus to our party. I also think it’d be awesome to talk motherhood with Candace.
Have you ever heard Beth Moore pray? Oh my word! I’m positive that when she’s praying angels come down from heaven and sit around the room just to hear her. She’s amazing and gives me something to strive for in my prayer life. I’d definitely ask her to bless the food at our dinner party. 😉 I’d also love to chat with her about the bible, motherhood, and everyday life. Her southern drawl gets me every time.
And just for fun…do you remember that time the girls in my family and I went to see Beth?? The sweet lady who took our picture cut me RIGHT out!! I’m on the left of Lindsey. You can see one side of my hair!
I think the better question should be, “Why wouldn’t I invite Tim Tebow to my dinner party?” haha! I’ve been one of his biggest fans since he played college football at Florida. I loved reading his book about growing up, how he stays strong in his faith in the midst of a celebrity life, and how hard he worked to make it that far. I’m so sad he’s been let go from the NFL, but we all know God has big plans for this guy. It’d be the perfect guest at my dinner party!
Remember these days?
Do you guys know those girls who are darling, dress so cute, and can tell you the score to the big college game on Saturday night? I want to be that girl! Samantha Ponder definitely is and I’m hoping she’d rub off a little on me while we have dinner. She’s the female reporter on College Game Day and I absolutely love her. I’d love to pick her brain.
Look how cute all while she’s talking FOOTBALL?!
Michael Strahan is the first guest I KNEW I would invite to my dinner party! He’s so funny, charming, and personable. He’ll have the entire table in stitches laughing and he’ll keep the conversation flowing. I used to be the biggest Regis and Kelly fan, but with Michael on the show…it’s WAY better!!
I’m so glad he joined the cast!! Kelly has always been one of my favorites, but the two of them together are perfection! Maybe he’ll surprise us and bring her too! 🙂
Now it’s your turn…who would you invite to a dinner party?
