It’s SHOW AND TELL DAY! I love show and tell days almost as much as I loved them when I was five years old and sharing a stuffed animal at school. Almost. I’m joining Andrea today by sharing some favorite vacations!
Last year, we shared a Show and Tell Tuesday with our Favorite Vacations. You can read that post here, where I highlighted some of our favorite vacation spots. I covered all the Slaughter faves from Disney to Destin.
Since that post, if you polled my people they would hands-down say their favorite vacation was our…
DISNEY CRUISE
If you missed any of our adventures aboard the Disney Cruise this spring break, you can check them out here.
We set sail with some of our besties this Spring Break for a 4-night Bahamas Disney Cruise. This vacation was the perfect beach vacation with some Disney mixed in. I think all the adults were envisioning ALL DISNEY ALL THE TIME! Disney carpet, Disney wallpaper, Disney plates, etc. was what I had in mind. But it wasn’t like that at all!
Some of our very favorite parts of the trip were…
Our Dinners-Disney does it right! The servers brought the kiddos’ food early and as soon as the kids were all finished we took them to childcare for a bit so we could finish our meal. Win-win….we got to eat without cutting anyone’s food and they got to play and have fun.
The Nightly Shows-Every night there was a show in the theater ranging from a Tangled production to a ventriloquist. We were fans of it all!
Our Bahamas Stop-We chose to get off the ship and take the Bahamas by storm. And by that I mean head straight to the Atlantis resort and spend our entire day there. 🙂 This was definitely a fan favorite from the trip. A day full of water park fun was our jam!
The Characters-Daily we received information in our room about what characters would be out the next day and where we could find them. It was so nice to be walking along and bump into Daisy Duck! #thatdoesnthappeneveryday
Castaway Cay-Disney’s private island did not disappoint. There were plenty of things to do, the beach was clean, and the food was plentiful.
Proof that the kiddos could stay busy for hours at this island.
Pirate Night-When everyone dressed up like pirates, we had a dance party on the deck, and there’s a little rift between Captain Hook and some others broken up by Mickey Mouse who zip lines over the ship to save the day…how can that not be a highlight? ha!
Dance Party-Our dance party with all the characters was a hit!
We’re already planning our next trip back. For real-it was that much fun! If you’d like some help planning a Disney Cruise for your family, please e-mail Shay at mixandmatchtravelagency@yahoo.com. We’ve been helping lots of families plan a magical vacation and we’d love to help you as well.

Have a GREAT Day! XOXO
This Disney cruise you and Shay have talked about might be something we look into in about near future. Fun!
Take me back friend!!! It was the BEST time!!!!
Loved the post! Were you nervous at all to leave your kids with the childcare on the Disney cruise? My kiddos will be ages nine, seven, and four.
Not at all-they were all in a group together (yours would be too) so they felt comfortable because they had plenty of friends to hang with.
That really was a great vacation!!! I really wish Carter would be interested in going, because I AM!!!!
Seriously, what a fun trip!! My favorite part was that you got to stop at the Atlantis!! Best of both worlds: Disney and the beach!!
On the day you went to Atlantis, all 3 of your kids had on matching striped swim suits! So cute!! Please, tell me where you got those!
Gymboree :). Might have even been the Gymboree outlet.
I'm having Disney withdrawals!!!! I know you guys are too!!! It's just so much fun!! And going with framily makes it that much better!
Thank you!! Love them, and love reading your blog!
Im so ready to go on a disney cruise!!! But I also want my kids to be a tad older!! Ekll!! What to do!
