EEK!!! I’m linking up with Andrea today sharing my MOST EMBARRASSING story EVER! Trust me by the time you’re finished reading, you’ll be mortified FOR me! hahahaha!!
I cannot believe I’m telling you this!!!
When Ebby Lee was three months old, Tab and I flew to Missouri so she could meet all her Missouri family for the first time. We had lots of visits with family. It was SO much fun introducing them to Miss Ebby Lee. She was the first great-grandchild in the family and homegirl got LOTS of attention!
My parents had invited my high school volleyball coach and his family and my high school cheerleading sponsor and her family all over to visit. We were having a great time. I was playing with Ebby Lee on the floor (on my parents light grey carpet) when I realized mother nature had kicked back in after having a baby. (Girls….do you know what I’m saying?!!!) But it was a little too late if you get my drift. Oh My Goodness!!! Everyone acted like they didn’t notice, but I know they did. How mortifying!!!
The funny part about that -well the whole thing is ridiculous-but that was the only time mother nature kicked in before Nixon was born. Surprise!! I was pregnant with a three month old baby!!
What do you think?? MOST EMBARRASSING STORY EVER, right?? I’m hoping I win a special prize!
I can’t wait to read all your stories!!! Link up with Andrea, so we can check them out!
This is like my favorite story EVER! I remember when you called me from Missouri and told me…girl, I would have just sat on that floor the rest of my life just to avoid standing up! Love that you shared this!! XO
Oh girl. This is SUCH a GOOD embarassing story! good thing we can laugh about all of these now. Haha!
As mortifying as this story is…..the thing I can't stop thinking about is "pregnant with a 3 month old baby". HOW DOES THAT EVEN HAPPEN?!? 🙂 Love you friend!
You poor thing!!!!! That wins an award!!!! I know the feeling of feeling like it is going to show through- eeeeek!!!!!! Have a great day! Please check out my blog that Andrea just finished up for me if you get a chance!!! Can't wait to link up soon!!!!! http://Www.127tgings.blogspot.com 🙂
I think this is probably the best one I have read!
Oh my gosh I am so blond sometimes….after reading 3 times I finally got it!! Girl that takes the cake…that would definitely be at the top of the list.
My most embarassing moment is very simmilar. I was very young maybe 12 or 13, so mother nature was very new to me.
I was at my swim clinics in the morning with the meanest instructor. We were all scared to death of her. We knew that we couldn't leave to go to the bathroom, etc. We just kept doing our drills. These drills included swimming a lap and then getting out of the pool. Well I had to stay in the water as long as possible because I knew I had a "problem" with no ability to go to the bathroom. After one of the drills a grill in my group pointed to my leg and told me I had a problem.
If this happened today I would know enough to just go to the bathroom. I was too young to realize at the time. Gosh it was embarassing.
Oh my gosh! That one would be hard to top! What did you do? Just get up and walk away? I'm dying inside for you!!!!
Oh my word! All I can say is "Bless your heart" I'm certain I would still be sitting there 🙂
Haha love it! Ever since having a baby, I have had a couple incidents during jumping jacks in corepower yoga class or running long distances that made for embarrassing Mother Nature moments myself… At least it's from a good reason?! Thanks for sharing, glad I am not the only one! 🙂
Oh my! If there is a prize, you should win! Brave for sharing!! 🙂
I always wonder why "accidents" like that have to happen at someone else's house on light colored carpet. You poor thing! Last year, I was at a naval museum and I had to go to the bathroom. I struggled with the wrapper on the tampon and ended up putting one end up against my chest so I could get leverage to open what was turning out to be a stubborn wrapper. Well, I must have been applying too much pressure because when I finally ripped the wrapper, the tampon flew out, hit the bathroom door and rolled out into the middle of the packed bathroom. There was dead silence, other than me giggling. I could see it barely under the door, so I put out my hand and grabbed it. And then waited a few minutes until the line of women who had witnessed it, had finished and left the bathroom.
Oh my gosh girl!! I so appreciate this story. If it makes you feel any better, mother nature once kicked in while I was visiting my then boyfriend (now husband's) parents house… Thankfully it wasn't on the carpet… but I simply tucked those clothes into my suitcase and decided to deal with them when we returned home. Well my boyfriend's mom (now MIL) LOVES to do laundry. For some crazy reason she thought it would be nice to do my laundry for me. She took my clothes out and washed them for me!! Who does that?! She does apparently. She never said anything but of course there is not way she missed it….

Just realized I messed up my blog address in earlier comment- http://www.127things.blogspot.com
I shared your story with all the first grade teachers I work with and it takes the cake!!!!
This is my story too! Except I was in high school and it was in front of my older brother's friends on the soccer team!!!!!!!!!!
hahahaha love it.
P.S. We don't know each other 🙂 I went to HS with Andrea 🙂 love your blog!!
Oh wow…that HAS to be the most embarrassing moment! Mine was taking off my jumper (dress uniform for private school) in P.E. class when I forgot to put on my shorts underneath, but I was young so I was over it quickly. I would DIE if this ever happened to me…when mother nature hits I'm always paranoid of it "showing" haha.
I should not have read this today, I just had surgery yesterday to fix my abdominal muscle separation from my 3 pregnancies and I think I popped a stitch laughing so hard!! So mortifying!!
I seriously love how open you are! Haha..and most moms can relate! 😉 We have nearly no control over our bodies after having children. It wasn't your fault..;) Darn mother nature.
I totally was with Sheaffer – the only thing I came away with was that you were pregnant and had a 3 month old!!!
My sister and I are 11 months apart and I never really thought about that until I'd just had my daughter. I looked at my mom and said "Dear Lord, you were pregnant at your 6 or 8 week check up from having had me!!" I was mortified because all I could think of was that my poor husband wasn't getting anything fun at 6 or 8 weeks post baby and my mom and dad had "done it"!! Accccckkkkk!
At least it was at your parents house and not someone else's!
I think i just died a little bit for you!! Nightmare status! I think your should be safe for a long time after that
😉
AHHHH! I am mortified for you but I so understand! Mine "friend" decided to return after I had already gone back to work from maternity leave. It came and ended up all over a chair in my bosses office. I am still mortified (and he's still my boss). I just ignored it. I didn't know what else to do. I couldn't sit in his office all day, so I just got up and left and didn't say anything at all. Of course, he's never mentioned so it's like it didn't happen, but I know it did.
OHHHHH I had this happen in the 8th grade at the beach with some friends. MOR.TI.FIED. I'd completely forgotten about it.
