A couple weeks ago over on my Insta Stories I shared what a typical Thursday is looking like around my house. I decided to share it here too! Here’s a little peek at what life is like at The Slaughter House…
4:30 a.m.
Sigh. Yes, I’ve been going to a morning workout class several days a week and like to get up a little before I have to rush out of the house. Quiet mornings are my favorite so in order to have that-I have to get up early!
6:00 a.m.
Workout class is OVER! And I was headed back home to get everyone up and ready.
7:00 a.m.
On Thursdays the kiddos have to be at school early so everyone was ready and dropped off right on time. Bowen had begged to wear this homemade shirt to school. Let me tell you-Ebby Lee never would have worn that #oldestkidproblems. I’d have been mortified, but third kid? Absolutely!
8:45 a.m.
Britt has speech in another town near us before her school on Thursdays and thanks to traffic it takes us a while to get there. We drop off the big kids at school and then head straight to speech. On this particular day, speech was cancelled so we had some extra time in the morning.
9:30 a.m.
I was heading out of town with Tab the next day so my day was just like yours if you’re leaving town without kids…SO MANY THINGS ON THE TO DO LIST!
12:00 p.m.
I worked on laundry, made work calls, stopped by the bank, returned some things, dropped something off at a friend’s house…was checking it off!
12:15 p.m.
I drove thru our local Starbucks. I must tell you I take the cuteness of our Starbucks for granted! Every time I post something that contains a view of ours you guys mention how cute it is. I couldn’t agree more. It’s built in a little Croatian-inspired village and it’s a darling Starbucks.
2:30 p.m.
After the drink, I headed to my computer and worked! I honestly don’t know if my blue light blocking glasses really work but I do know my nine-year-old dreams of having glasses come true every time I do. #truth
On days I’m at my computer for solid hours I throw them on-just in case they’re working. 😉
4:00 p.m.
I’d picked up all the kiddos and was busy finishing laundry, washing sheets for the guests {AKA babysitters}, sitting out all the things needed for the kiddos for the weekend.
It was in this moment where I contemplated not going out of town. Any moms out there every feel like that? It’s so much work to leave everything ready! But-I’m so glad I did!
5:30 p.m.
I dropped the big girls off {Ebby Lee and Kensington} at volleyball practice and thanks to the weather am pretty sure I had hot flash #4 for the summer of 2019. The girls at one point told me to stop thinking about how hot I was and that it might help. ha! I finished packing myself for the trip, had another work call, and then we ran to Hat Creek for dinner before the baseball game.
7:30 p.m.
Bowen’s baseball game was the later one on this particular evening which meant the sun wasn’t trying to melt me to to the bleachers. Thankful for that. Afterwards it was pure chaos getting everyone into bed and making sure we were ready for the flight the next morning. I’m pretty sure I closed my eyes at 10:30 pm.
That’s a little look at our life via Insta Stories. I’ll see you tomorrow for Friday Favorites!
XO
