Can we all take a moment and look at that graphic? The funny thing is I was SO proud of it when I made it, but now I see it’s a little off-center, some words are a light pink instead of white, and it’s a bit boring. But I’m not finished showing you things, so let’s all chuckle every time we see the graphic and move right along? Deal? #makinggraphicsarenotmyjam
This one really isn’t a “room”, but it was definitely a game changer in the looks department so I felt like it deserved it’s own post.
This was a close-up of our front door.
I realize the lighting isn’t the greatest. The guys were on their way to remove this door and I realized I wanted some up close pictures. I just had to deal with the lighting. 🙂
This one from Christmas kind of gives you a better idea of the space.
When we moved in, the front door was definitely on our to-do list.
The windows around the door and above the door were taken out as well. The balcony above the door is being replaced too. It just happened to be on a different shipment, so in the next month it should look a little different. I’ll keep you posted.

The installation took all day long. It was HOT up in here! The guys tried to partition off the area they were working on to keep the mess in one place.
We checked out three different companies. Two did everything over the phone and via e-mail. The other company (that we decided to go with), came out, measured the space, and went over some options. We went with a custom, metal door company so the design was completely up to us. Where did I turn? PINTEREST!!!
I e-mailed the designer a few of my favorites and then we went back and forth until we both agreed on the perfect look. Then they make the door, which can take eight to twelve weeks. Ours took a sweet forever, but it was so worth it in the end.
Installation day
And the final look 🙂
We are SO happy with how it turned out. It gives our 1998 home a super updated look. If you’re thinking about changing your front door, I highly recommend it!
I can’t wait to show you this space all decorated for fall. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today! XOXO See you tomorrow with some FAVORITES.
Looks great !
That door looks awesome! !!!
I love it! It really changes the front of your house! When we built our home last year, I had the hardest time deciding between a single front door with sidelights or a double front door. I ended up choosing a single front door with sidelights but the design is very similar to your current door with the glass panels taking up over half of the door. I really love that look!

Erika! The door is AMAZING! Simply stunning!
Love, love, love it!!! Looks beautiful!
Wow! Looks FABULOUS!
YES!!!!! Now THAT'S a good front door!!!! Gorgeous!
Thanks so much, girls! I was crazy nervous because what if I hated the design in real life? But-I love it! The door really changes the entire look of our house.
I love, love, love it!! So pretty!! Great job, mama!!
Your new door looks great. So much better! It's amazing what a difference updating it made. I thought the previous door looked ok, especially if you took the monogram design off. However, seeing the before and after its a huge change for the better!
Haha!! Not a fan of the monogram, huh? I agree-the change made a huge difference.
Erika,
We have literally the same before picture of yours as our current front door – with all three sets of windows and I hate it!!! Haha – I am also looking to replace ours with a double door and remove the windows for more privacy. Which company did you go with? I'm in Texas as well, so just curious if they were local or a bigger company. Also whats the cost of doing something like this? If you don't want to give me the exact, maybe like a range, haha. You can email me if it would be easier. Thanks abryan09@gmail.com
If you're in DFW, we used Love That Door. I think they have two locations in the metroplex. Let me k ow if you have any questions.
What a great transformation! This door has such a classic look – love it!
Looks great! I really like those handles–very unique.
Absolutely gorgeous! And I'm obsessed with that bench!
Girl if you need easy and free graphics, go to canva.com – life changing.
Love the new door!
Love it!!!! Looks so chic!
Erika….it's stunning, it totally transforms the look of your exterior!
Oh my goodness your door looks so fabulous and truly makes a HUGE difference! Great pick!
I love it!! I heart a double door – and saving my pennies for one at our house too!!
I adore this look!! We have a single door with sidelights, but I am loving the double door look! This makes me want to change ours!
I would love more info on this project – it looks amazing and I'd love to change ours. I'm in Austin… how did you find a company? What does it cost? My email is gleasonsk@yahoo.com. Thank you!!
It looks perfect! I absolutely love it!
I seriously love it! It literally transformed the look of your house!
I also have those kinds of Windows on the sides of my front door. I hate that I can't even go see who is knocking on my door without being seen. (I have no desire to answer sales people, etc.) Your new door is absolutely beautiful!! But does the lack of privacy effect you at all? I'm. It sure what to do about mine.
The new door looks great but I actually loved the monogram too!
I would love a new updated front door at some point. I just spent two days this week painting all six of our exterior doors. It's amazing what simply changing the color can do!
We used Love That Door in Frisco, TX. They were amazing on the design and door installation. On the business, clerical side of things they weren't the best but we all have our things. Right? I actually ordered the glass you can't see through (and they told me we could change it) but it showed up like this. I was really worried about the glass at first but that part of our house isn't an area we're hanging out in a lot. So we're still deciding if we'll keep it or switch the glass. We just got some recommendations for custom door companies in our area and called for more information. Thank you guys!!
The new door is beautiful! Where is your bench from?
Wow!! It looks great. Definitely makes for a more modern entrance!
