New York City-Questions Answered

This is my last New York post.  I promise.  🙂

Today, is a little “Q and A” about the trip.  I’m answering any and all questions I got via Instagram, e-mail, or the blog.

If you missed my trip recaps, Part 1 and Part 2.

My cardigan is sold out, but similar options are here or here.  I found these leggings and ordered them just to see how Spanx did making leggings.  Let me tell you they do not disappoint.  I ordered a less expensive pair of faux leather leggings last year and surprised myself with how much I grabbed them.  My shoes were super comfortable walking around all day long.  I got a cross body bag almost a year ago, but this one is a super similar cute option for fall.

I grabbed this coat for Ebby Lee once I knew we’d be traveling to New York in the fall.  And I got her these shoes before school started.  Nixon was wearing this pullover. (on sale now)  Bowen was wearing this shirt.

I got this coat before we went and am so glad we did.  It was crazy warm.

We stayed at the Herald Square Courtyard Marriott.  We had a corner room so it had a little more space than a standard room.  We had a room with a king bed and a pull-out couch, so we all fit perfectly.  The kiddos took turns sleeping in the king with us and the other two slept on the pull-out bed.

This sweater was perfect for dinner out.  It’s sold out from everywhere at the moment, but this is a similar option.

I got the hot pink beanie last year and can’t find that color available, but there are lots of other colors in this option. My leopard booties are from a couple seasons ago.  They’re the same brand and style as this bootie.  They have a super low heel so they’re comfy enough to wear all day.  Here is a cute leopard option.  Ebby Lee’s puffer vest is from this season.  She is a fan of all things comfy cozy so she loved this puffer.

I scored this leather jacket during the anniversary sale this year.  This top is one of my favorites.

I got asked about the best age to take kiddos to New York City and I’d say there’s something for everyone.  Depending on the age, you have to be okay with them not remembering.  My two big kids will always remember New York, but Bowen not so much.  There were a few times the crowds were large, but the majority of the time the crowds weren’t bad at all.

Bowen’s coat was perfect for crowds.  I never lost sight of him in this coat.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and taking a little New York vacation via the blog.  🙂

That's a great tip to dress the kids in a bright color to make spotting them easy! And nobody is cuter in a beanie than you. I look ridiculous, but every time I see you in one I want to try it again!

Thank you! But I should have warned everyone…wearing a beanie can produce colossal tangles. And I do mean colossal. 🙂
