Insta Questions Answered-Part TWO

Hey!  Hey!

You guys!  I’m having all the bittersweet feels over here today.  My kiddos go back to school in TWO WEEKS.  Yes, two weeks.  It’s crazy, unbelievable, sad, and time to have a real bedtime again all rolled into one.  Depending on when you stop by, you might find me either rolled up in a ball sobbing OR fist bumping to celebrate.

Last week, I started answering your questions and if you missed it, you can read it here…

Today, we’re diving into more reader questions!  Let’s get to it!
I drive a Chevrolet Suburban.  It works perfectly for our family…if you’re car shopping, I highly recommend it.

Okay, great question!  These blog posts sum up how we chose our kids’ names but they also mention some other contenders in the line-up.

You can read all about Ebby Lee’s name here.
You can read all about Nixon’s and Bowen’s names here.
You can read all about Britt’s name here.

If I found out TODAY, I was about to have a baby, {and Tab had no control of the name} I’d name the baby…

I think that’s what I’d choose.  What about YOU??  And why, oh why do I like playing this game so much?

 Yes!  I know God might have completely different plans for us, but if it’s up to us, we’d choose to stay in McKinney for a really long time.  By attending the same church, going to the gym in the community, being involved in other activities, and so on we feel super connected to this community.  {And absolutely LOVE it.}

No, I think we’re completely finished.  Again, I know God might have other plans but if you’re asking me I’d say our family is complete.

I’m not one of those girls who swear by the exact same hair products and has been using it for YEARS.  I like to change my hair products up ALL THE TIME.  Right now, I’m loving the Aveda Dry Remedy Shampoo because my air got crazy dry this summer.  I really think this shampoo is helping.  And when it comes to conditioners…I’m finishing approximately 13 different bottles.  Anyone else go through shampoo so quickly but then have a ton of conditioner left?

I almost take a bath every night before bed and read to unwind and have a few minutes to myself.  That’s the easiest way to grab a few minutes in my normal, everyday life.

By the way, I’m reading The Other Woman right now.  Have you read it?

To be honest, no.  I try my very best to be one hundred percent me and I think most of my girlfriends do that as well.  I know there are other McKinney bloggers I don’t know so I’m speaking just for the few I do.

This question reminds me of this quote.  I truly feel like the bloggers I know in real life are ALL supportive of each other and are cheering each other on.  I’m thankful to be in a group of women like that.

With four kiddos, I should have some sort of amazing Mom Hack…right?  Why can I think of absolutely nothing?  I’ve really got nothing.  My kids wear a lot of mismatched socks…does that count?  And I don’t feel bad about it.  That’s my hack…let them wear mismatched socks.  It’ll save you a LOT of time.  And grocery pick-up!

GREAT question!  I think if I was a good blogger 99% of the time I would feel like this.  I’m horrible {and not so horrible because it’s good for us all} at going on a vacation and forgetting to snap pictures.  In everyday life, I’m not taking a ton of pictures of my kids either.  How many times after a trip or something do I have to come on here and say, “I’m so sorry.  I did an awful job remembering to take pictures”?  So, I might feel like I had to be “on” if I did this 24/7 but I don’t.

Oohhh…this is a fun one!  My top three favorites are…

A simple way to say it was our relationship was always really easy.  I dated other guys prior and all of those other relationships were complicated…for a variety of reasons.  But dating Tab was completely different.

That wraps up Part TWO!  Hope you guys enjoyed reading along!
Have a GREAT day!

My parents did not know what they were having when they had me and were convinced I was a boy. They were going to name me Teague and that was 26 years ago. That didn’t have a single girls name picked out. But, I have never heard Teague since then!

I had to laugh at your shampoo answer. I'm the exact opposite- since I have very thick, curly hair I go through a ton of conditioner and I always have a lot of shampoo left over! I'll send you my shampoo if I can have your conditioner! lol!

My daughter's name is Mallory and she gets called Mal and Mallie a lot! 🙂 We went back to school today – where did summer go!??!?! Another great shampoo/conditioner to consider is Function of Beauty. I've been using it for a few months now and love it! You can customize it to whatever you are needing at the time (moisture, growth, shine, etc.), pick the color, pick the scent, etc. and they format it specifically for you.

I love Q&A posts! This one was really fun with great question. I have TONS of leftover conditioner too! LOL. I'm sad summers winding down too… but I know having routine and structure will feel good too. Just as soon as I stop bawling haha. Any chance you've got a kids BTS prep post in the works? I need some major motivation and prepping with fun clothes, accessories, fall trip planning, etc always shake the blues!

Some women go through shampoo faster than conditioner???? It never even crossed my mind that might be the case. I have dry curly hair, and need about a half dollar sized amount of shampoo per wash, but a whole palm-full of conditioner, and I always wondered why they didn't make conditioner bottles twice the size of shampoo bottles because I run out of conditioner so quickly and my shampoo lasts forever! I assumed that even women with less dry hair probably used equal amounts shampoo and conditioner!
