We had such a fun Halloween-style week! Here’s a peek (more like a LONG look) into our week…(Picture Overload)
On Wednesday, Ebby Lee invited some girls over to have a little Halloween party. She mentioned having a Halloween party and since this is her last year at home before kindergarten, I agreed! We just decorated the dining room with some balloons, table cloths, and fun orange lights.
Since it was E’s idea, I really tried hard to let her help me with everything. She wanted to do some Halloween stickers and coloring when everyone arrived. So, that’s what we did! The little bags contained their goodies.
This was lunch…super easy and the girls seemed to enjoy it. Uncrustables, Cheetos, and grapes!
Sweet sweet girls!
Working hard on their art!
Sweet Maggie totally hung with the older girls at the party! She did great!
She was SO excited about her friends coming over!!
After art time, we played “Pin the Tail on the Cat”. They were so cute!!
Photo booth time (minus the booth)
Then they had Halloween cupcakes for dessert. Yummy!
Apparently, Ebby Lee got a hold of my camera (when I wasn’t looking). They played dress-up in Ebby Lee’s closet and I guess she was the photographer?? This is a darling picture of Molly!!
She had lots of models in this one.
Ha! Miss Priss’ pose!! Cracks me up. I guess someone else took her picture??
Ebby Lee had SO much fun partying with her friends. She had a blast PLANNING the party too!!
That night we carved our pumpkin..
This is the before.
Ebby Lee drew a face.
Nixon waited patiently for his turn. 🙂
He looks SO big!!! Bowen and I watched it all go down.
Nixon (with a face-from a sucker) showing us his side of the pumpkin. (I wasn’t fully paying attention to this. Tab was in charge. He only carved one pumpkin, but they both drew faces? Not sure how that went down?)
Handsome Man…(tilt your head a little)
They were saying, “Yuck! It’s so gross!”.
This little guy officially started crawling up the stairs on Halloween Eve. GATE TIME!
Finished Product
Halloween Morning they were all dressed up for school…
Nixon was a Dallas Cowboys Football Player (his Batman costume was too hard to remove for the restroom) and Ebby Lee was Ariel.
At drop-off, Ebby Lee’s class had a little activity. They planted pumpkin seeds earlier in the month, and on Thursday they got to “pick” them. Aren’t her teachers SO cute?? Mrs. Chan (on the left) was the cat from the book, “If you Give a Cat a Cupcake” and Mrs. Naomi (right) was the lady from the book, “I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Leaf”. Too cute!!
I almost missed her!! She picked her pumpkin from the “patch”.
And…a cute photo op! It was a cute little activity and fun that all the parents could watch.
Bowen got to watch too!
Thursday afternoon, we got to party with Nixon…
They sat patiently while Mrs. Lacie read a Halloween story.
He was SO good!!
Nixon helped put party of the jack-o-lantern’s face on the board.
Sweet boys!!
Thursday evening was Trick-or-Treat time!!!
Batman, Robin, and Rapunzel were ready to go!
Check out Robin’s costume. I promise it fit when I ordered it. But…apparently in the last month, Robin got LONG! The velcro snaps would pop open as soon as he moved his legs. So, it was more of a Robin “dress”.
We met Tab in our old neighborhood to visit some old neighbors. None of them were home!! So, we loaded up and headed back to our new neighborhood to trick-or-treat.
It only took about one house…before they had it down ALL on their own!! We made sure they said, “thank you” but they could handle it!
Nixon and our neighbor’s dog. He talks about “Crown the Dog” ALL THE TIME!
We met up with the Smith family and hit up some houses.
We met up with the McAnally family too and hit up even more houses.
Bowen wasn’t feeling the smoke machine.
Family picture at the end of the night…what a fun night!!!
Sweet girls!! Our kiddos loved getting to trick or treat with friends!
That might have to become an annual event!! Smiths and McAnallys…hope you’re in!!
Crazy busy Halloween week, but it was so much fun!!
Kensington's favorite part of Halloween was Ebby Lee's party! And I must say, I don't blame her! It was sooooo cute!! Happy Halloween Slaughters!!
Awwwww! Such great pictures!!!! And I love that you had a Halloween party for the girls! SO cute! Looks like they had a blast. And I love your outfit on Halloween night. Stripes and a military jacket (it's my Wednesday post this week!) 🙂
The Robin "dress" totally cracked me up!!! Looks like y'all had such a fun Halloween!
What a great Halloween week and I LOVE your family picture at the end of Halloween night! Super sweet family!
I LOVE robin's dress… that's priceless!
