Friday Favorites-Christmas Gift Edition

Hey!  Hey!  Weekend, am I glad to see you!

What is it about these “short” weeks always feeling so long?  The Slaughters needed some sort of “how to ease back into school” program to get us ready for these early mornings.

I don’t know about you but me and my nosy self loves to know what others put on their Christmas list, got for Christmas, and {if we’re being REALLY honest} what their pantry looks like.  😉


I thought I’d share with you what I got for Christmas because hopefully, you’re nosy like me and maybe you have some Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket?  Just in case, I’m here to help!


This weekender bag from Athleta is even cuter in person.  It comes in either grey or black and is on SALE!!  I have big plans to make this a gym bag, but I used it already on our trip for a work/laptop bag.  I’m thinking this will be used A LOT!


This jacket is CRAZY soft, comes in a light option as well, and also is on SALE!  The perfect top layer to wear to the gym or to Target.  And the inside is fur…need I say more?


I was so excited to see these booties make an appearance on Christmas Day!  They come with brown and red laces to give you more than one look and can really be dressed up or down depending on your outfit.  We have a ski trip planned and these booties will get some wear while we’re there.


And let’s talk about these earrings…I didn’t even know I wanted them but when I opened them, it was LOVE at first sight.  😉  You guys will see these WAY too often. 





I’m sure you’ve heard about this celery juicing train-it seems a majority of the world is on right now?  I kept seeing things about it over and over again, so this juicer was on my Christmas list as well.  I’ve gotta tell you….


1.  I did ZERO research about the benefits of drinking celery juice, but I heard someone on Instagram say, “I feel so good and have so much more energy”.  That’s all it took.  I was SOLD!  
2.  Lucky Tab, he’s been getting to enjoy the fruits of my labor{and by that I mean, I juice enough every morning for TWO glasses of celery juice}. 
3.  If you put celery and pretty much any other food in front of me, I’d choose whatever is my option #2 so I was nervous about how I’d stomach a glass of the green stuff every morning.  But…it’s not that bad.  The worst part BY FAR is cleaning the juicer and juicing EVERY MORNING.  
4.  We’ve been on the celery-juice-drinking-train for about a week and so far I don’t notice any changes.  Maybe I have more energy?  Or maybe the whole placebo effect is getting to me?  I’ve committed to my morning juicin’ for a month and then we’ll evaluate how great we’re feeling.  😉
