These weekends full of sports have caught up with me and girls, I am TIRED! πππ
It looks like sports might possibly get cancelled due to rain on Saturday and if so, I’m gonna attempt to sleep late. I’m already excited about the possibility.
In true Friday fashion, I’ve teamed up with my girl, Andrea, to share some of my FAVORITES from the week.
First up, NIXON’s birthday is always a FAVORITE!
Andrea left a comment about remembering how I told some friends I was pregnant with Nixon. You guys asked for the story. First of all, please remember I found out I was pregnant with Nixon when baby Ebby Lee was four months old. Yeah. I had to ask Andrea if my memory was correct because at the time-let’s be real-I had all kinds of pregnancy brain fog.
I remember THE DAY I found out I was pregnant with Nix. It was August 10th, 2009, and remember in order to get pregnant with Ebby Lee we’d tried and tried and tried. We saw a fertility doctor, took meds, and it was an ordeal. So, I decided not to get on birth control. Surely, we’d never be able to just easily get pregnant when we’d tried SO HARD to conceive the first time. Well, I was wrong.
I started just feeling pregnant again, for lack of a better way to describe it. I’d only had one cycle so I was expecting it to be sporadic after delivering but when it was not showing up PLUS I felt a little “pregnant” I decided to take a test. It happened to be on Tab’s birthday, and he was working from home that day. I took a test, saw the positive, and walked in SHOCK to his office to say-“WE’RE PREGNANT…AGAIN!” I’d immediately called my doctor because we’d been on meds to help my body keep a healthy pregnancy so he had us immediately go to his office. He took blood, got the meds, and assured me everything would be fine. I remember calling my mom on the drive back to the house and saying that I was sorry. πππ She was like-for what? This is exciting, but I’m pretty sure I said-it just feels REALLY irresponsible. hahahaha!
When I told Andrea {and some other friends}, she remembers me saying that I wanted to get Ebby Lee a “Big Sister” shirt but no one really made those in 3-6 month onesie options. haha! That’s how she remembered it and I just remember crying!
And look at that baby now. He’s ELEVEN and such a blessing!
And this girly always feels the need for a picture too. We wrapped up birthdays in our house for several months.

Have you tried these Nature Valley Biscuits with Coconut Butter? Well, I discovered them last week and new FAVORITE!
I’m about to show my country roots but did anyone else ever have 4-H cookies growing up?
Those cookies on the top left…Coconut Cream Sandwich Cookies-were my FAVORITE! My mom loved them too so she’d buy several boxes for us to savor as long as possible. I’m not even sure-do they still have 4-H cookies? If so, someone PLEASE hit me up during cookie season but if not, these Nature Valley bars taste REALLY close! One bite immediately took me back.
LOVE THAT SWEET FACE! I got lots of requests for more Britty videos on my stories yesterday. I’ll do my best to deliver-I promise!
Dude Perfect on a rainy Thursday afternoon is their FAVORITE.

I found this picture on my phone…
When I asked Bowen what happened he said he asked Britt to take a picture of the back of his “cool hair” from the back….bahahahahaha! That’s funny! And explains the angle.

I've never had a 4H cookie, and now I want one SO BAD. I want a cup of crab bisque and a cookie. Like right now.
Happy birthday to Nixon!
I'm dying laughing at the pregnancy call to your mom. "It feels irresponsible." So funny! I've never had a 4-H cookie, but I've had those Nature Valley ones, and they are so good. Have a great weekend!
I remember exactly where I was standing in the front hallway of my old house when you called me to say you were pregnant with Nixon. I remember being stunned but then also being so excited that my surprise baby would have a surprise baby bestie. Look how God worked all of that out?! So cool.
Lovely family photos as always, your life is busy, busy, I'm exhausted just reading about it!
Oh my goodness!! Reading your story about how you found out about Nixon is EXACTLY like what happened to me! My oldest was a fertility baby and we were so blessed after 2 years of trying! Then when she was 5 months old, I found out I was expecting! Same story–didn't get back on the pill cause there was no way I could get pregnant again on my own. Much to my surprise, at my first ultrasound at 7 weeks, we found out not only were we expecting, I was pregnant with identical twin girls! The twins came early and they ended up being 13 months and 2 days apart. They are 4 and 3 now, and it is complete chaos. 3 girls, lots of emotions, and most importantly, lots of snuggles and love!
I've never heard of 4-H cookies; only Girl Scout cookies. They look yummy though.
Happy Friday!!!
I agree….more Britt videos. She was adorable and cracked me up with the school story. So cute. Also, the pic of Bowens back/head and story is funny. Cant delete that pic, mama.
