Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!

I’m teaming up with my girls, Narci and Andrea, to bring you FRIDAY FAVORITES!

If you’re like us, you’re in FULL-BRING-ON-CHRISTMAS-MODE!

Just twenty-four days until Christmas, we’re trying to soak it all in.  🙂

Here are some random FAVORITES (it’s a long one today, get comfy)…
After our Branson getaway, we drove over to my hometown to hang for a few days with family and celebrate Thanksgiving.  My grandparents hosted us for dinner one night.

Grandma teaching Britt some piano skills.

Thanksgiving Eve we met up with this crew at Chick-Fil-A…can you believe this entire area was open?  All six tables fit us perfectly!

It was Britt’s first time to meet the family and our first time to meet Baby Beau.  My cousin, Whitney, had a baby in August and we were dying to get our hands on him!  What a cutie!

There’s a new trampoline park in town which happened to be the best place to burn off some energy when it’s cold outside!

I didn’t get Britt a pass or the special socks, but after about fifteen minutes I figured out home girl wanted to JUMP!  She spent the entire time on this one rectangle trampoline.  And wore herself out!

We got a babysitter for the big kids and the babies stayed with the grandparents.  Meanwhile we did this…

DATE NIGHT!!

We had dinner at The Southerner, a new spot in town.  The food was delicious but the company was even better.

My cousin and her hubby, my brother and sister-in-law, and us.  🙂

And a selfie-just because.

That poor babysitter.  Right?  hahahaha!

These seven survived…and so did the babysitter.  🙂

Whitney and Ryan hosted the family for Thanksgiving.  So much to be thankful for this year.

Britt buddied up to Grandpa Hency…I think the crackers he was feeding her helped.  ha!

At one point the girls put Britt in this stroller and stroller her all around.  She loved it!

We ended the night with not only full tummies but full hearts as well.  Love this crew!

On Friday morning, Tab flew out to his football game and the kiddos and I made the trek back to Texas.  We had a great time with family for the week.

I love our town for so many reasons and the fun little festivals that happen downtown are definitely one of them.  It was Home for the Holidays in downtown McKinney where they ring in the Christmas season.  It’s always a good time but this year-the weather was amazing-and it might have been my favorite year yet!

These two were on one side of the Ferris Wheel.

And me and this cutie were on the other.  🙂

And they all four smiled in one picture…a Christmas miracle.  ha!

We enjoyed all the festivities…including the petting zoo.

Britt and I enjoyed observing this one.

Our attempt at a selfie on the carousel.

We had dinner at Spoon’s and then made one quick stop at the Ferris Wheel before heading home.  Ebby Lee had talked M into riding while we were at dinner, so this cutie and I waited patiently while they rode.  And by “waited patiently” I mean I did whatever I could to keep her happy in the stroller.  😉

They look ready!!

We had the best evening hanging out at Home for the Holidays.  If you’re local, I highly recommend you check it out next year.

On Monday, Bowen’s actual birthday, we ate leftover BBQ from the party (because the macaroni and cheese was SO good) AND we had a little more cake.

Shay’s Recipe Exchange is always one of my favorite nights leading up to Christmas.  She is a delightful hostess, the food is always so yummy, AND the company is the BEST!  I highly recommend you and your group of friends starting this tradition. SO MUCH FUN!

Okay, friends!  That’s it for my favorites this week.  Hope you have the BEST weekend!  XO
