Easter Weekend

I hope you had a fabulous Easter weekend.  Our Easter festivities kicked off on Thursday.  I got to stay and help hide eggs for Bowen’s preschool class.  Oh my goodness!!  Not sure there’s anything cuter than eight two-year-old boys (Yes, his class is ALL boys) running around in the grass grabbing eggs.

This boy totally “GOT IT”.  He went to town throwing eggs in his bag!

Apparently he doesn’t play when it comes to Easter egg hunts.  ðŸ™‚

Friday night was DATE NIGHT!!!  It was the Shull’s turn to babysit.  Hallelujah!!  So, Tab and I went out for an early dinner.  We walked in at 5:20 and there was NO ONE ELSE in the place!
Saturday the weather was gorgeous!!  We all got outside and organized the garage.  It looks fabulous in there right now!  Afterwards, we hit up our church’s Egg-Stravaganza!  Our church puts on this event for the community…petting zoo, bounce houses, and an egg hunt.
The Slaughter kids are all about a petting zoo!

These cute girls enjoyed themselves!!  They had a blast!

Bowen’s afternoon started off a little rocky when I dressed him in a pink shirt.  He was not happy about it, but after a few minutes at the playground he didn’t even remember he was wearing pink.  ðŸ™‚

Loving the bounce house!!
Nixon was a big fan too!

Then it was time to line up for the egg hunt.  This was one side of the field.

And this was the other side…a LOT of people!!  But…it was so organized!  Everyone went home with plenty of eggs.  Bowen’s eggs must have been sitting in an ant pile.  As soon as we got in the car, I noticed his bag was FULL of ants!!

Big brother Nixon didn’t want to hunt eggs so he helped Bowen.

We went out for pizza afterward with the Dreffs’ family.  This kid was all about sitting on my lap.

The boys/girls took turns riding together. When the girls were in my car, they were singing loudly to every song on the radio.  The boys debated about what’s more important, “food or boo-boos”.  hahaha!

We ended the night with Baskin Robbins.  Pizza and ice cream….perfection in Bowen’s book.  ðŸ™‚

Yesterday morning we went to church with our friends, the Venters, and G and M.  Then we hit up On the Border for brunch before going home to snuggle up and nap.  It was COLD here yesterday!

 Happy Easter from the Slaughters!!

We loved having G and M with us on Easter.

The Slaughter boys…aren’t they cute?

I attempted a cute picture of all three, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out like I plan.  ha!

Hope you had an awesome Easter weekend!!
