Disney World-Part 2

We’re talking WALT DISNEY WORLD Day TWO!

Wahoo!  If you missed my recap of our first day at Disney World, then be sure to read it!  And if you’re new, just last week my bestie, Shay, and I surprised our six-year-olds when we arrived at the airport with the big surprise reveal we were headed to DISNEY WORLD!

We whisked them away for three days at THE MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH!

We had lots of goals for this trip…
*We wanted to prove you can plan a last minute trip to Disney World and it can be crazy magical!
*We wanted to prove there are SO MANY THINGS to do at Disney World that you can make return trips feel VERY different.
*We wanted to check out some super specific things for clients.
*We wanted to make some amazing memories with our kiddos.

I don’t want to toot our own horn but we accomplished ALL those!  😉

Just last year during Spring Break we did a Disney Land and Sea vacation with three days at Disney World before we set sail on a Disney Cruise.  We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge Resort and LOVED IT!  But on this trip, we wanted to stay somewhere we’d never stayed and you guys!  The Polynesian Village Resort did NOT disappoint!

We woke up to this gorgeous resort, Polynesian Village Resort.  The lobby was gorgeous and we all were READY to book a Hawaii trip after staying here for a few days.

If you’re looking for a great deluxe option at Disney World, I HIGHLY recommend this one.  It’s located on the monorail, is super close to Magic Kingdom, has some great restaurants, also has an amazing pool….and I could just keep going!

We had a table service breakfast scheduled at Kona Cafe.

It was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start Day Two!

I’m telling you, friends, the pool was perfect!   And if you look to the right of those lights you can see the castle at Magic Kingdom.

Shay ordered us all matching shirts for our first full day and they were CUTE!

There’s something super magical about Main Street in Magic Kingdom.  It gives me ALL THE FEELS!

Let’s just say these two were READY for DAY TWO!

We hit up The Magic Carpets of Aladdin as soon as we got into the park.

It’s a Small World 🙂

Our morning was FULL of great rides and this kiddo was ALL IN…except he was petrified of the Haunted Mansion.  He managed to talk his BFF, Ashby, into telling us she was too scared to ride too.  #hespersuasive

Rapunzel’s Tower is stunning!

This day could NOT have gone better with timing…we rode rides, used our Fast Passes, and managed to do everything Bowen and Ashby were really wanting to do.

The time alone with this kid was absolutely priceless.

We kept our day open so we could watch the Move it!  Shake it!  Mouskedance it!  Street Party as well as Mickey’s Royal Friendship Fair Show in front of the castle.

This particular event led us to learn something about Bowen Slaughter.

He LOST HIS MIND waving at characters like Donald Duck…{located on the upper part of the float}

Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar {I looked up Clarabelle’s love interest}

Pluto and more…but when Mickey and Minnie rolled in front of us he didn’t even wave.  Shay and I were laughing so hard.  He was SO INTO waving at those other characters but you’d have thought a stranger was standing in front of him when Mickey rolled up.  Mickey received NO reaction from Bowen.  He later told us that it was because he sees Mickey and Minnie all the time but those other characters he hasn’t seen.

We are FANS of this show that features Anna and Elsa, Rapunzel, and Tiana!

After riding Big Thunder Railroad, this kid was a pro!

Oh my!  Wanna know what Shay and I look like after riding Splash Mountain?  THIS!

These two look as cute as ever!

Our dinner reservations were at Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen-the food had an African, Asian, and Latin flair.  The restaurant was super cute giving off that jungle cruise vibe and it was a hit!

At dinner we could grab another Fast Pass so we grabbed one for Dumbo the Flying Elephant and headed that direction.

I was out to prove Ashby and I were having more fun than Shay and Bowen.

Walt Disney World does not disappoint with their attention to details.  Everything is stunning!

We gave our kiddos some options and they both voted for observing the fireworks from the Polynesian so we headed back to our resort just in time to see the fireworks {without the crowd}.

Right after the show we called it a night and made our way to the room.  This is one of my favorite features about those monorail resorts-they pipe the firework music into the firework viewing area and it’s such a more laid back vibe than watching with crowds.

And that wraps up Day TWO!
