September 11th. A day we will always remember. Praying for all the families affected by this tragedy.
Aren’t those “Day in the Life” posts so fun to read?? (Shay just did one yesterday!!) I’m not sure why, but I love them! I think it’s because it’s so fun to take a peak into another person’s daily life.
Back in the spring I did a “Day in the Life” post for Bowen. You can check it out HERE. I’ve had Nixon’s post written in my calendar ALL summer and could never remember to take pictures all day long! I told him on Tuesday night that Wednesday he had to help me remember to take pictures of him all day! ha ha! Here’s a random Wednesday in the life of Nixon…
This kiddo is an early riser. There was no catching him in his bed. And…to be honest I forgot for the first 30 minutes or so. He came downstairs and asked to watch Paw Patrol.
So that’s what he got. 🙂 He had breakfast and I totally forgot to take a picture.
When Bowen woke up, he joined him. They set like this for probably 15 minutes watching television. So sweet!
The boys and I got dressed and ready for the day. Our plans were to hit up the gym and then the pool. (So I dressed them in their swim suits.)
Big boys walking in to the gym. I went to a workout class while they played in childcare. When I picked them up, Nix was playing soccer with Smith.
Then I picked them up, so we could have some lunch poolside and then swim with friends!
Nixon being crazy on the way out. He is my funny, keeps-us-all-laughing kid. He also chose his outfit yesterday. That explains the long sleeve shirt and plaid shorts on the HOTTEST day this week. 🙂
We got home around 12:30…just enough time for Bowen to take a nap before we had to go pick up Ebby Lee from school. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nixon is at school. On the days he’s home during Bowen’s nap time, he’ll watch a movie and rest, play something quietly, or even play on the computer. Today he asked for a movie. (This boy could sit and watch movies ALL DAY LONG if we let him. He’s a boy after my own heart. :))
Crazy blurry pic…waiting patiently (kind of) in the carpool line.
We went straight home. The boys’ Halloween costumes had arrived while we were gone. Nix was PUMPED!! Let’s just say he was WAY more pumped about his plastic weapon than his costume. But…he played and played with that yesterday afternoon. Tab called to say that he had lots of work to do and was never going to make it home in time for church. The kiddos were STARVING, so we had an early dinner. The kiddos played while I showered and got ready.
I feel like Wednesday evenings before church are always a little chaotic. Anybody feel me??
Somehow we made it out of the house right on time!
After church….this boy wanted nothing more than to hold this plastic stick!! haha! But instead he took a bath.
They read books with Tab while I put Bowen to bed.
And…then it was Nixon’s time for bed. (Notice the plastic stick!)
That sums up a random “Day in the Life” of Nixon. 🙂
Goodness! Smith slept with his two sai (yes, I had to look that up to see what they were called) last night too! Those boys are so much alike! I'm so glad I got to spend time with Nixon twice yesterday…the pool was a fabulous idea :)!
OH MY GOSH!!!!! Tab's shirt 🙂 🙂 my hubby and I went to NDSU and live in ND! We travel to every single football game and have been in Frisco TX for the National Championsip games . P.S. College Gameday is here for this Saturday … I love your posts every single day!! Have a Happy Wednesday, Erika 🙂
Cuddling up with a stick at night. Hilarious.:)
Is that an NDSU shirt on your husband??? Go bison :)🏉
Aw!! What a fun day!! Love that sweet Nixon! 🙂
Kim and Kayla…too funny!!! Yes! He's reffed a game there before and we have a random assortment of t-shirt souvenirs from football adventures!!! How cool is that!! Small world!!
Love him bringing his weapon to bed!
Oops… You can have a happy Wednesday next week…. Have a great Thursday today 😉
Whoo Go Bison! 🙂
Ben kept looking over my shoulder as I read this post and every time a picture of Nixon or Bowen popped up, he'd say "See Ben!" Ha ha–apparently he thinks all pictures of little boys are of him. That's probably my (and my camera's) fault. Sweet post–your kiddos are precious.
So cute!
so this is completely random but I noticed your hubby is wearing an NDSU bison shirt-we live in Fargo and are big fans of our bison!
Haha so funny, I just did a day in the life yesterday, but not posting till tomorrow or Monday. Been meaning to capture this chaotic time in my life right now. Nixon sounds like Beckham…plastic sticks and movies and goofy!
I am a religious blog follower and also had to look twice when I saw the NDSU Bison shirt as I am an NDSU alum and live in Fargo 🙂 Looks like Nixon had a fun Wednesday!
Wednesday nights are so crazy. I'm impressed you did it alone with 3 kids!! Plus you looked super cute.
Wednesday nights before church are so hard!!! And Thursday mornings everyone is so tired!!!
