I know today is actually June, so I should be sharing my yard. But I’m breaking ALL the rules! Don’t worry, I got special permission from Andrea! ha!
I have two excuses. First, I missed the kitchen link-up because of being stuck in Orlando an extra day. And secondly, our backyard (is looking so much better-I should add) is patiently waiting on some concrete work. It is supposed to be finished by Friday. I’m keeping my fingers crossed! I didn’t want to show you the backyard in the midst of all that craziness. I promise I’ll show you the “after” when it’s finished.
Today, I’m going back to show you our kitchen and dining room “before” pictures.
EEK!!! I don’t think the electricity was turned on when this was taken so it’s kind of dark. But you get the idea…the cabinets were a “pickled” color, the counter top was a white Formica with tile on the island, and a light tile back splash. I LOVED the bones of the kitchen!! I knew I could update this and make it my style. So…that’s just what we did!!
The eat-in kitchen…the white tile floor was NOT my favorite.
Before we even moved in, we did a LOT of work in the kitchen. New counter tops, new paint on the cabinets, new backsplash, new floors, and new lights…maybe that covers it? I LOVE the way it turned out. With a little bit of updating, we totally made it ours!!
