Christmas Shirts, A Feature, AND Thanksgiving Week

Christmas Shirts:
Bird/Leopard Christmas Shirt-$38.95 with shipping (I’m wearing a medium.)

Don’t mind the crazy hair!!  Whitney’s hubby dropped these off yesterday and I didn’t have a chance until 8:30 p.m. last night to take pictures.  I’ll post these Christmas shirts on Instagram this morning with the sizes.  Make sure you follow me if you’re interested “slaughteren”.

Deer Shirt up close

Deer Shirt-$38.95 with shipping (I’m wearing a small.)

These are on a dark grey and it’s a little longer in the front.  If you’re not long waisted, you could probably get away with this top, a tank, and leggings.  I was extremely close to breaking Sheaffer’s rules.  🙂  This shirt could take you way into winter.  Might be my Zalma (the super small town I grew up in) roots talking, but this one if my FAVE!

Thanksgiving Week:
We started off our Thanksgiving festivities on Wednesday morning.  My parents and my brother and his family all drove down Tuesday after work.  They arrived SUPER late, but our house was so excited when everyone woke up!!  We began the day with a little playing at the park.

#reallife

I assure you no one was injured in the taking of that picture.  🙂
We hurried home for a lunch of pizza.  The guys took all the big kids to see a movie.  The babies slept and the moms prepped everything for our Thanksgiving meal!  Best idea EVER!!!

We met up with the rest of our crew at Bass Pro.  If you’re close to a Bass Pro, you need to check out all the Christmas festivities.

The crazy cousins…my brother has two boys, Camden (5) and Paxton-not pictured (2).

Bowen is trying to look cool.  hahahaha!  But he LOVED the carousel ride!

There are displays set up like this where the kiddos can drive a remote control truck or a train.  Nixon got extra lucky.  He had a turn and then the truck died.  🙁

Our crew getting ready to shoot some ducks with bows.

HILARIOUS!!!  I think the girl on Brave does this??

They wrote letters to Santa.

Nixon was over pictures by this point.

The kiddos made a cute little gingerbread ornament.  Ebby Lee was all about taking her time on this one.  Everyone waited patiently.  Kind of.  hahaha!

Thursday was Bowen’s Birthday!!!

We started the morning off right with presents, the parade, and a bounce house!

The bounce house idea was probably my best idea to date.  It kept the kiddos busy almost the entire day!!

Once the birthday boy finally got brave enough….he LOVED it!

This was my morning….comfy warm pajamas, coffee with a straw (I’m weird!), and the glorious view of a bounce house.  hahahaha!

T-Nonnie got in and I’m not sure who enjoyed it more!!

I snuggled with this guy and watched a little bit of the football game.

While Tab held down the fort at home, everyone else ventured out with the other crazies to do some early Black Friday shopping.  Mom and I headed to Target.

We had a plan!!  haha!

The downtown area of our town has the cutest little festival called, “Home for the Holidays, the weekend after Thanksgiving.  We went last year and now it is a Slaughter tradition.

Nixon didn’t want any part of those ice skates.

Last year this girl was too nervous to give it a try, this year she rocked the ice skating!!

We found the Grinch!!  Nixon’s distance cracks me up!

The rest of the crew 🙂

WAHOO!!!  The tube slide.  What Nixon talked about all year long and then decided to skip out on when we got there??  Yes, that’d be the one!

At this point, Bowen got REALLY sleepy!

We got home, played outside because the weather was beautiful, and sang. “Happy Birthday” to Bowen.

He was “blowing” his candle out.  hahaha!

This kid is no stranger to a cupcake.  He knows how to take the bull by the horns so to speak…

He asked for a fork and then did this.  🙂

We ended the night with LOTS of rounds of Connect Four.

The next morning our company all left.  Bowen was SO sad to see T-Nonnie go.  🙁  We stayed in doing laundry, cleaning up, and recouping until that night we met the McAnally’s at the park.
We did manage to catch part of this game.  Someone was surprised to see the cute Umpire on the screen.  #shewasalittledramatic

Happy Thursday, Ladies!  Thank you SO much for reading.  🙂
