Can you believe it’s Christmas Eve?? In all the business of the season, sometimes it’s difficult to keep our hearts and minds centered around the real reason of the season.
As a mother, my thoughts of Christmas always tend to shift to Mary, an ordinary, young Jewish girl whose life had just been completely turned upside down. For a moment, allow yourself to walk in Mary’s shoes and be amazed by her great faith and courage! First, she woke up to an angel telling her she was going to be pregnant even though she was a virgin! Then, he told her the child she would deliver is God’s son and the savior the Jewish people had been waiting on! Can you begin to imagine? As if that weren’t enough to deal with, she then had to tell her fiance she was pregnant but it wasn’t what he thought!! Wow! And this was all Gods plan!?!. What would she do? What would she tell her family? She had no idea what to do other than trust God! Have you ever felt that way? Her faith and courage are amazing! 9 months later, surrounded by animals, shepherds and Joseph by her side, she gave birth to the Son of God in a simple, plain old stable because there was no room for them in the Inn. Have you made room for Him this Christmas season? His name is Jesus and He is my Savor.
Today I would like to share the lyrics of the amazing song, “Born in Me” by Francesca Battistelli.
Everything inside me cries for order
Everything inside me wants to hide
Is this shadow of an angel or a warrior?
If God is pleased with me, why am I so terrified?
Someone tell me I am only dreaming
Somehow help me see with Heaven’s eyes
And before my head agrees, my heart is on its knees
Holy is He; blessed am I.
Be born in me, be born in me
Trembling heart, somehow I believe that You chose me
I’ll hold You in the beginning, You will hold me in the end
Every moment in the middle, make my heart Your Bethlehem
Be born in me
All this time we’ve waited for the promise
All this time You’ve waited for my arms
Did You wrap yourself inside the unexpected
So we might know that Love would go that far?
Be born in me, be born in me
Trembling heart, somehow I believe that You chose me
I’ll hold You in the beginning, You will hold me in the end
Every moment in the middle, make my heart Your Bethlehem
Be born in me
I am not brave
I’ll never be
The only thing my heart can offer is a vacancy
I’m just a girl
Nothing more
But I am willing, I am Yours
Be born in me, be born in me
I’ll hold You in the beginning, You will hold me in the end
Every moment in the middle, make my heart Your Bethlehem
Be born in me
Everything inside me wants to hide

Praying you and your family remember the reason we celebrate Christmas. Praying you’ve asked Christ to be “born in you” and to live as your personal Savior. If you have any questions about how to do that, please e-mail me alittlebitofeverything83@yahoo.com. I’d love to share Christ with you!
